Ahmad Shah info@matrade.gov.my Kuala Lumpur Website : Fail Tuan : Your Ref : Fail Kami : MT/BGPP1/9-5/60 Our Ref : Tarikh : 10 May 2016 Date : Dear Sir/ Madam, INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EXPORT ACCELERATION MISSION (EAM) IN CONJUNCTION WITH 1MALAYSIA PROMOTION 2016, LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (24-27 SEPTEMBER 2016) MATRADE will be organising an Export Acceleration Mission (EAM) to London in conjunction with the Malaysia Export Day held during the inaugural 1Malaysia Promotion event in London, UK. 1Malaysia Promotion serves as a platform to jointly promote Malaysia s capabilities in various sectors through Public Private Partnership involving government agencies, private sectors as well as Government Linked Companies (GLCs). It is an initiative for greater collaboration across sectors to increase exports, investment and enhance country branding. 2. The Malaysia Export Day is one of the three segments of 1Malaysia Promotion being organized in London, UK to promote Malaysia s export capabilities across targeted sectors. The other two segments are Malaysia Fest, an event aimed at promoting Malaysian cuisine through Malaysian restaurants in the UK and Malaysia Investment Forum which is led by MIDA focusing on attracting foreign investors. 3. The Export Acceleration Mission (EAM) will be promoting selected sectors notably building materials and eco-friendly products, automotive parts, aerospace, plastics and packaging, halal products and services, art and handicraft, health tourism, islamic finance, and professional services. Details of the sectors are outlined in Annex I. The EAM will focus on pre-arranged individual business meetings with potential importers/distributors and networking sessions with industry players. This mission will create greater awareness on Malaysia s strength and capabilities and link Malaysian companies to potential foreign buyers and strategic partners. 4. We would like to invite your Organisation to participate in this Malaysia Export Day EAM to London, UK. Attached are the tentative programme as per Annex II and general information about 1Malaysia Promotion in London as per Annex III.
