10 SAP MII 14.0 BOBJ Integration This is a joint LoB Manufacturing and Business Objects initiated topic to promote the use of Business Objects Tools in Manufacturing. The licensing model for Business Objects has changed so that an additional license is not required for products that deliver standard UIs based on Business Objects tools. A Business Objects license is only required if the customer wants to modify a standard UI. All licensing is subject to change and needs to be verified at the time of the software license contract, but this is the way it works today. As an example this is why the Condition Based Maintenance RDS uses Dashboards as the UI technology.
