From a business perspective, Enterprise APM version 4.2 is is focused on uncovering and reducing risk, improving productivity and asset utilization, and optimizing maintenance costs, all in a technical environment that is engineered toward helping clients achieve a quicker time to value and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO). When will Enterprise APM version 4.2 be available? Enterprise APM version 4.2 was officially announced on May 11, 2016, and will be generally available July 29, How much does Enterprise APM cost? Enterprise APM is available for purchase under several pricing and licensing models that can accommodate any organizational need from a single solution to an enterprise-wide agreement. What are the major updates and enhancements of Enterprise APM version 4.2 Enterprise APM version 4.2 provides the following enhancements in addition to overall performance and quality updates: APM Analytics - Using models constantly trained and updated by a database with deep industry data, Cognitive Analytics uses Meridium s machine-learning framework and organizes, qualifies and mines data to identify failure patterns that may have been missed through traditional analytical methods Lifecycle Cost Analysis Models against historical and operational datasets to determine true asset lifecycle costs and performance expectations to support strategic decisions such as OEM selection, repair vs. replace, or buy vs. lease scenarios

Yes, Enterprise APM offers several licensing models: On-premises/perpetual licenses SaaS/Cloud Hosted Hybrid FOR EXISTING MERIDIUM CLIENTS: When will I be required to upgrade to Enterprise APM version 4.2? Existing APM clients will not be required to upgrade immediately. Meridium will work with you to define an upgrade timeline that makes sense for your organization. We will continue to fully support and provide limited enhancements for older versions for the foreseeable future. When will client training courses be available for Enterprise APM version 4.2? Training courses for all solutions of Enterprise APM version are available now and updates for 4.2 are already underway. Specific course changes for version 4.2 offerings can be completed within a week for any course. Our training team will continue to support your needs throughout the upgrade process.

3 Who should I contact at Meridium to discuss upgrading to Meridium Enterprise APM version 4.2? Please contact your Account Executive or Project Director for more information. Is there functional equivalence between Meridium APM version 3.6 and Meridium Enterprise APM version 4.0 and version 4.2? Yes. With regard to work processes, there is functional equivalence between version 3.6 and version 4.0 and 4.2. However, many of the work processes have been improved and extended and their workflows have changed in Meridium Enterprise APM version 4.2. From which versions can I upgrade directly to Meridium Enterprise APM version 4.2? You can upgrade directly from any version after and including Meridium APM version SP3. If you are upgrading from a version prior to Meridium APM version SP3, additional upgrade steps are required. Please contact a member of the Meridium Professional Services department to discuss the implications in detail. Can my previous version of Meridium APM work in conjunction with a new installation of Meridium Enterprise APM version 4.2? If you are currently using Meridium Enterprise APM version 4 upgrading is simple. If you are using an older version, significant changes were made to the user interface and to work processes. Is this an entirely new database? Meridium Enterprise APM version 4.2 supports the same back-end architecture for databases that is found in previous versions. However, just like any upgrade, your database will need to be upgraded appropriately using Meridium Enterprise APM s Database Upgrade Manager application. How will my customized configurations be handled in the upgrade process? As with any other release, Meridium will work with you to upgrade customized configurations. Meridium Professional Services has a significant amount of experience in helping our customers upgrade successfully. Each upgrade process is unique, though, and the level of complexity for the upgrade depends upon the amount of existing customization. For this important transition to Meridium Enterprise APM version 4.2, we strongly recommend an engagement with a member of the Meridium Professional Services department.

4 What are the hardware and software requirements for the Meridium Enterprise APM version 4.2 Server? The following lists the minimum hardware and software requirements to install and run Meridium Enterprise APM version 4.2: Two Processor Cores, 2 GHz 4 GB RAM (8 GB RAM recommended) 8 GB of available hard drive space 13 screen 1024 x 768 screen resolution Meridium requires, at a minimum, a 100BASE-TX switched network between the Meridium Enterprise APM Server and the Database Server. In addition, Meridium supports Hyper-V and VMWare platforms. For help refining your specific system requirements, consult a member of the Meridium Professional Services department or visit The following software components are required on any machine that will serve as the Meridium Enterprise APM Server: A Windows Server 2012 R2 (64-bit) operating system is required to properly run Meridium software, and must be installed on the machine that will serve as the Meridium Enterprise APM Server. The following hardware requirements outline the minimum hardware required for any machine that will serve as the Database Server for the Meridium Enterprise APM database. Four Processor Cores, 2+ GHz 32 GB RAM 200 GB of available hard drive space on, at minimum, 10K RPM drives Note also that: While Meridium supports the use of RAID 5, which has benefits in its recoverability features, Meridium recommends the use of RAID 10 for the best overall database performance. Oracle requires instance tuning to use memory cache effectively. For Oracle Database Servers, a comparable UNIX-based system can be used. We require, at a minimum, a 100BASE-TX switched network between the Meridium Enterprise APM Server and the Database Server. Meridium Enterprise APM version 4.2 supports the use of an Oracle or SQL Server Database Server. Oracle Requirements: Oracle Server 12.1 Enterprise Edition. SQL Server Requirements: SQL Server 2012 or SQL Server If you are using SQL Server 2012, it must be SP2 CU2 or above.

5 The following requirements outline the minimum hardware required for any machine that will serve as the SQL Server Report Server machine: Two Processor Cores, 2+ GHz 8 GB RAM 25 GB of available hard drive space If you are using a virtual machine (VM) to host your SQL Server Report Server, we recommend that: You increase the physical server CPU and hard drive space requirements by 20% to ensure that the application will perform equivalently in a virtualized environment. You double the physical server memory requirements. Each VM have its own dedicated processor cores and memory allocation to ensure appropriate performance. These requirements may not be sufficient, depending upon how your system is configured. Parameters that affect the hardware requirements include the number of users, modules purchased, database size, and other factors that can vary from one customer to another.
