3 This document contains all the release notes for SAP Performance Management for Financial Services 2.0. SP01. The changes in business functions and general software improvements are covered in two sections: general features and functions. GENERAL FEATURES The following general features are available: Enabled option for entering function IDs by the user Function IDs can now be entered by users while they use a function or environment. Modeling users can enter function IDs in the same way as they do in Customizing rather than using a generated number from the configured number range interval. The system makes a suggestion based on a new reduced length number range interval. The modelling user can replace this suggestion with whatever they would like to enter. Copy Function You can now copy multiple nodes in the function hierarchy. You can also enter the function ID, external ID and description of an individual function. Sample Content The following sample content is delivered as part of SAP Performance Management for Financial Services 2.0 SP01: Solvency II (updated with corrections) Provides customers with ideas and best practices for modeling Solvency II. Profitability and Efficiency Management (a completely new version) Provides customers with ideas and best practices for modeling profitability in the areas of cost allocation, funds transfer pricing, and product costing and pricing. 3

4 FUNCTIONS The following general features are available: Environment Function In the Settings roadmap step, the following new functions are available: Sync InfoArea: This function enables you to synchronize the BW InfoArea with the FS-PER environment. This is particularly helpful if you want to use BW data models or FRDP as the data source for FS-PER. Sync Environment: This function enables you to synchronize BPC Planning Environment with the FS-PER environment. This is particularly helpful if you want to use BPC data models as the data source for FS-PER. Calculation Unit The functionality for Dual Control(Workflow) provides a two-step release process in the run management of the calculation unit. The release process can be performed for each combination of business function and run set ID. For further details, see the help documentation for this functionality. Calculation Function For calculation, two following new functions are available: Workbook Calculation: Enables absolute references between the fields (cells) in the formulas in a similar way to desktop spreadsheet applications. This is a well-known concept for many users and makes maintaining the formulas easier as compared to relative references (if you need relative references in a calculation, use the generic calculation).the function also allows you to precisely determine in which row and column (cell) a value has to be, and thus allows you to prepare the content of a form that needs to be filled. For further details, see the help documentation for this function. R Script Calculation: Enables the embedding of R code in the context of a calculation. This means, the Calculation function allows R code to be processed in-line as part of overall processing. This scenario is suitable when a calculation function needs to use the R environment for specific statistical functions. R is an open source programming language and software environment for statistical computing. For further details, see the help documentation for this function. Allocation Function The new receiver rules Allocation percentage and Allocation factor have been added. For iterative allocations, an option for aggregating results at each iteration has been added. The imprecise allocation function has been optimized to improve performance. The value adjustment process in allocation has been optimized to improve memory usage. In the Settings roadmap step, the new input field Sender block size has been added. For non-cumulative and non-iterative allocation, modeling users can specify the number of senders to be processed at a time to optimize memory consumption. Join Function In the Settings roadmap step, the new input field Auto Merge Common Fields has been added to influence the behavior of fields that are common to the input functions.
