3 Asset management experience Manila Water Asset Systems Auckland Transport Asset Operations Sydney Catchment Authority Asset Performance and Optimisation Territory and Municipal Services Asset Advisory GHD was engaged by Manila Water to review its Enterprise Asset Systems (EAMS) and develop its first Asset Information System (AMIS) blueprint. GHD s work resulted in vastly improved asset management practices and asset performance, through advanced data collection, management and analysis. GHD scoped the AMIS implementation, drove the procurement process and acted as the client s representative in managing service providers through the 3 year implementation phase. Ultimately GHD delivered the AMIS Strategy blueprint and 34 system integrations across nine corporate systems. The fully integrated system went live in June 2015 and has delivered above expectations. It has also won multiple awards, including the prestigious CIO100 Asia Award for best business transformation project in the technology category. Auckland Transport established a term contract with GHD to provide data management, data capture, pavement deterioration modelling and a forward works programs for over 2500km of sealed and unsealed roads in Auckland City. GHD focused on making use of the large amounts of data available to develop and deliver credible forward works programs and engaged with multiple stakeholders in its implementation. The outcome for Auckland Transport has been robust programs of works resulting in cost savings and improved levels of service for the community. In 2014 GHD worked with the Sydney Catchment Authority (SCA) to review and develop an Asset Strategy, a State of the Assets Report and Asset Plan Framework. The SCA manages a diverse asset portfolio to deliver its products and services, with an approximate replacement value of $5.3bn. Once our recommended Asset Plan is fully implemented it will enable the SCA to: improve and standardise asset management practices clarify roles and responsibilities for asset management more effectively plan and fund its works programs ensure more effective utilisation of its assets reduce asset related risks, and improve financial management of assets. The Territory and Municipal Services Directorate (TAMS) is responsible for managing roads, footpaths and cycle paths and operating the ACT public transport system as well as collecting recycling and rubbish, running public libraries and ensuring municipal infrastructure is in good working order. TAMS engaged our team to assist in the development of a strategic asset management framework which included: development of asset management policies, measures of level of service, a governance framework and asset management strategies provision of training to facilitate the implementation of the new framework and the associated level of understanding to self-manage assistance in the development of business unit strategic asset management plans. A key initiative in completing this project was knowledge transfer from our team so that TAMS maintain a strategic asset management approach into the future.
