2 Overview SIMON is BSI s online Benefits Management System a sophisticated platform that can immediately simplify the complexities of managing employee benefits for your business in a highly-secured environment. The platform is accessed through an intuitive web interface or portal that is 100% responsive whether on any desktop, tablet, or mobile browser. The SIMON Employee Self-Service Portal enables employers, and their members, to enjoy efficient, error-free enrollment, as well as access to other tools powered by BSI s market-leading benefits administration system. This includes powerful consolidated billing that delivers current, accurate and complete transaction reporting, and reliable, integrated data connections with your carriers. SIMON supports electronic enrollment with nationally recognized medical, dental, vision, life and other voluntary benefit products.

4 Platform Features Enrollment & Eligibility A one-stop shop enrollment platform for managing employee benefits where data is securely transferred to carrier partners automatically. Consolidated Billing Multiple carriers and coverages are billed on a single invoice. Employee Self-Service Allow employees to manage their own qualifying life events and open enrollment changes. Employees can also update their own demographic information and access benefits documents. Compliance/ACA Reporting Enforce plan rules, such as eligibility periods and life event changes and generate group-level reporting at a click of a button. 10K Mobile Optimized Mobile optimized design that is 100% responsive experience whether on desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile device. 8 Responsive Design Mobile Optimized SIMON s 100% responsive design allows all users to easily access SIMON whether on desktop, tablet, or mobile device. Every SIMON web page has been designed 5 separate times with 5 break points. 8
9 Self Service Invite Registration Registering for SIMON If registering via a Self Service Invite, you will receive a registration . To start the registration process, click Register or copy and paste the URL into your respective browser. 9
10 Landing Page/Login Screen Logging In New ESS users will be instructed to validate their account by entering: Last 4 of SS# Birthday Once confirmed, they will be prompted to create username and password and will receive an confirmation when completed. 10
11 Let's Get Started Time to select your benefits Once logged in, ESS users will be prompted to select their benefits We provide simple instruction to walk them through the three main steps of: 1. Gathering contact info 2. Adding dependents - if applicable 3. Selecting benefits 11
12 Contact Support Time to select your benefits If there's any trouble during the process, users can hit the button located at bottom-right corner of every SIMON screen at any time. From the pop-up screen, users can either send a message directly to the support team or get the phone number and hours to call customer support. 12
13 Enroll Now Page The progress bar tracks your progress each step of the way and allows you to jump back. Enter your information This is where employees will enter their own demographic information which typically returns cleaner, more accurate information. You'll notice the minimum required info to create an ESS invite is all pre-populated: First Name Last Name DOB Gender SS# 13
14 Field Validation Error Messages SIMON has a built-in feature that will highlight missed fields in red and not allow the user to move forward until fixed. USPS Address Validation Get the address wrong? No problem! Addresses in SIMON are validated by the United States Postal Service (USPS). When an entered address is not recognized by the USPS, you ll have the option to either use the USPS recommended address or save as entered. 14
15 Add Dependent(s) Do You Have Any Dependents? The user is asked if they have any dependents before moving on to Benefits. Click the button if applicable, otherwise skip this step and continue on to selecting Benefits. Keep in mind you ll have a chance to add dependents before enrollment is submitted. Add Dependents You'll notice little things like the subscriber last name is auto-populated. We try to save keystrokes wherever possible and streamline the enrollment process. User can add all valid dependents from this page. Just click to add multiple dependents. 15
16 Benefits Time to pick your benefits! SIMON provides instructional text for the coverage selection process. SIMON walks the user though every coverage type and assists with each decision along the way. Cart Summary You'll notice a shopping cart that appears on the right side. This is where selected coverages will stack up with your calculated monthly cost share. SIMON supports two contributions strategies Defined Contribution, which is a set dollar amount, and Defined Benefit, which is a percentage of cost. In this example we are using the "Defined Contribution" method. This employer is contributing a set dollar amount of $550 that the employee can use how they please. If you are not using one of these contribution strategies, the monthly cost shares will be hidden. 16
17 Select Coverage Choosing your plans You'll notice high-level plan info like Deductible, Office visits, and RX are displayed as well as RX co-pay. Or if you prefer, you can take a look at the plan Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) link. In fact, any type of media link like a PDF document, product video or even a link to a provider network search can be displayed. Once a medical plan has been selected, you ll be able see the monthly cost in the cart summary. If dependents were added previously, the user will have the option of deselecting coverages in the cart, which will affect the monthly cost share amount. 17
18 Electronic Signature Sign Electronically Once all coverages have been selected, the ESS user will be prompted to review their choices in the Enrollment Summary. If everything looks good, they will continue to sign their enrollment application right from SIMON. Employees can choose from a few different styles or draw their own. 18
