4 Online Application Portal Net Energy Metering Applications doubled in 2015 compared to 2014 and have more than doubled again in 2016 Several new updates to our online application portal help our customers and contractors move through the NEM interconnection application process more quickly and efficiently Pepco Holdings Application Volume 4

5 Key Features of the Online Application Portal Intuitive and interactive process guides you step-by-step to complete the application Online signature feature eliminates the need for physical signatures Upload attachments online, save paper and postage no need to or snail-mail supporting documents Automated data validation and self-service provides immediate updates on missing or inaccurate information no need to wait for returned s or phone calls Monitor application status 24/7 in near-real-time Contractor can see aggregated reports for all pending applications submitted online by that contractor Contractor account includes ability to designate access to multiple users 5

6 Online Application: Process Workflow To start a new application online, contractors and self-install customers will go to AtlanticCityElectric.com/gpc Follow the online interconnection application link, or In the Nav column, under Net Metering and Small Generator Interconnections, select Apply for Interconnection 6

7 Online Application: Process Workflow To start a new application online, contractors will either click Login if a returning user or Register if a first-time user 7

8 Online Application: Login or Register To Login, contractor enters username and password Or, if you have not yet registered, click Sign Up Now and follow the steps to create your account 8

9 Online Application: New Application After logging in, you will be in the NEM Dashboard view Key features include: Search filters Tabs to organize your applications by status Expandable application details Click on NEW to start a new NEM interconnection application 9

11 Portal Change: Contractor Registration Process Contractors will now use one Account Administrator from their company to register for a username and password in order to access the contractor account The Account Administrator is the first person from the company to create an account on the portal The Account Administrator can set up additional employees to see and input interconnection requests with their own username and password by going into the Manage Staff tab 11

12 New Feature: Ask Your Questions Online Our new Internet Inquiry Processing System (IIPS) allows the user to submit questions directly to an Atlantic City Electric Green Power Connection representative from within the online application portal You can access IIPS via the new Questions icon in the left navigation of the online application portal A form is presented to enter information about the issue Your computer environment information is optional but helpful for resolving issues Submitter contact information and customer account number are required so we can respond 12

13 New Feature: Ask Your Questions Online Support question categories include: Billing Inquiries Application and General Inquiries MyAccount and Login Inquiries Meter Exchange Inquiries Authorization to Operate Inquiries The submitter will receive an automated response confirming the submission has been received A member of the Green Power Connection team will respond to each inquiry within three business days 13

14 Application Process: Helpful Hints 14

15 System Sizing Restrictions The number one reason for returned applications is incorrectly sized systems How is the size of the renewable system determined? Add up the total energy consumption (in kwh) as shown on the customer s last 12 Atlantic City Electric bills. Divide that sum by 1,200. The result is the maximum inverter nameplate rating the customer can install We use the formula 12-month kwh usage / 1,200 = maximum kw inverter rating, to comply with state rules and meet all or part of the customer s electrical needs 15

16 System Sizing Restrictions What is the maximum size of a small generator system a customer can install? Customers who install a renewable generating system can offset all or part of the energy they use from Atlantic City Electric. Interconnection capacity restrictions vary among states and jurisdictions In New Jersey, the system capacity can be up to 100% of the customer s 12-month historical energy consumption 16

17 Process for Submitting Application Changes System information changes: If any system information submitted in an application changes at any time during the application process, the contractor will need to withdraw the prior interconnection application and submit a new interconnection application with the changed information The application will re-enter the project queue in the order it is received Submit the revised Part I as soon as possible to avoid delays. Do not wait until Part II is ready to submit 17

21 SpeedPay Link Atlantic City Electric is making it easier and faster for customers and contractors to pay invoices online, including Level 2, 3, and 4 Interconnection Application Fee invoices Within ed invoices, customers will now see an embedded hyperlink directly to the SpeedPay online payment system, allowing direct and fast access to pay the invoice SpeedPay adds an $8.75 fee for credit card payments 21
