SAP Fiori apps enable search and management of purchase information records, operational contracts, source lists, and source assignment simulation. From unsourced demands one can initiate sophisticated e-sourcing events in SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing through native integration. SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing manages e-sourcing events based on templates for direct and indirect materials and services. It supports: RFx and sourcing event creation, management, collaboration, and analysis Contract authoring, including support for digital signatures Event management for quotes and auctions Quote Automation for price requests Recommendations Customers should plan to adopt the SAP Ariba Collaborative Sourcing bundle and replace current sourcing solutions that are part of the SAP SRM or SAP Sourcing applications. Customers in manufacturing and consumer industries should evaluate the new, innovative capabilities for direct material sourcing in SAP Ariba solutions. 20 Service Items Integration in SAP Ariba Sourcing (CI-9) SAP Ariba Sourcing and SAP Ariba Contract Management applications, integrated with SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA On-Premise, now support the integration of service items. This is for external services procurement with a flat list of service line items. Customers can now manage their material and services spend in Ariba Sourcing, and these business processes are now integrated with their backend systems. 33
