To assist ehealthconnecticut in achieving the primary objectives stated in this RFP, Allscripts is proposing Allscripts MyWay. Allscripts MyWay is a seamless, integrated solution designed to enhance the clinical, business and financial performance of small practices. In one comprehensive package users will find the key application features and functions necessary for Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Practice Management and Claims Management. Allscripts MyWay, available as both a hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) and on-premise solution, offers robust capabilities for Electronic Health Records, practice management and claims management. Designed to help small physician practices overcome cost and IT complexity barriers, the Allscripts MyWay Electronic Health Record offers many features that make it simple and intuitive for the user, including: Offline Synchronization: Physicians can be productive anywhere, any time, even without an Internet connection. Caregivers offline changes and entries are automatically synchronized to update records when they re-connect. All of our EHRs already meet the rigorous CCHIT requirements and many believe that the Meaningful Use criteria may actually be less robust than the CCHIT certification criteria. We are so confident in our products that we have created the best guarantee available in the industry today! Allscripts is already working on plans for future development and functionality needs to meet additional requirements as set forth by the Meaningful Use Criteria. We are in the development stages for a new release schedule, to incorporate changes that may be needed to comply with any new criteria as established. Allscripts has several key employees within our organization who are currently involved with and positioned to comment, review and work with leaders in the government to develop the criteria for meaningful use. Allscripts' active voice in the drafting process, on-site presence at the critical meetings, and ongoing relationships within Congress and the White House have given us a good sense of where the final rules will likely go, and our Solutions Management and Development departments have already begun the process of preparing our products for the rulings. This ensures that clients using one of our EHRs or preparing to implement are ready to collect the incentive payments at the earliest possible date. As soon as the ONC announces the certification, we are ready and will be certified! Health Information Exchange (HIE) 1. Describe your HIE capabilities and experience with HIE implementations. Allscripts is a leader in the area of interoperability and data exchange today. We have already demonstrated our interoperability platforms at HIMSS, and our strategy has us interoperable with every major competitor, device manufacturer and other healthcare stakeholder. We are committed to an open standards approach to an interoperable health system and have worked with several agencies, including the Secretary of Health and Human Services to discuss our strategy. From a technical perspective, Allscripts supports multiple standards based clinical document exchange formats including CCR and CDA depending on client s needs. Allscripts also allows the CCR patient information to be digitally sent to regional or community repositories or to a file ensuring that the patient always has their most up-to-date CCR. Connecting to physician practices, hospitals, and other groups in the community through a central exchange to share patient data between organizations today, your organization can share information on the patient, making sure the most upto-date information is available when and where you need it. Addressing interoperability is critical to our mutual success and we have the resources focused on it. We have worked with and continue to develop several HIE partnerships and interfaces. Specific interfaces included can be reviewed with your Allscripts representative for timelines, development needs, costs and more. ehealthconnecticut HIE technical specifications are found on the ehealthconnecticut website at After reviewing, please comment on your ability to commit to meeting these requirements and in what timeframes. Please be sure to include specific responses regarding patient registration and query (PIX/PDQ) transactions, XDS transactions including Continuity of Care Documents, and BPPC: Allscripts currently supports the CCR and CDA standards through several different profiles, including both the XDS and point to point protocols. Allscripts also supports many of the national initiatives to improve the quality and efficiency of the Nation s healthcare delivery system. We are working on full interoperability with information systems and base our work on the emerging national standards. Allscripts also supports the use of CCR and CDA formats. Enterprise follows the Profiles developed by the IHE for sharing clinical information by document exchange. We support the concept of an Affinity Domain: a set of cooperating entities that have agreed to share documents by using one or more Repositories and a single document Registry. There are multiple supporting profiles needed to make this work in a secure and audited manner. We are committed to supporting standards-based Clinical Exchange Document formats. Allscripts is also able to go point-to-point from an Allscripts customer to another customer or other EHR vendor, to an HIS and so on. This can be done without the extra XDS infrastructure in place. Allscripts can go from your Enterprise system to another information system through an online VPN tunnel between sites or through secure encrypted (so no tunnel is needed). We exchange the certificates so the information remains secure in the transmissions. Implementation Specialists provide remote Q&A and Consulting, and standard deliverables with mutually agreed upon timeframes. The Allscripts Academy & Learning Management System provides application training 24/7, with required course assessments. Allscripts provides Allscripts Academy, an education portal for our customers. Allscripts Academy is available 24/7 and provides the opportunity for staff to take online instruction, apply the new skills in the clinical environment and return if necessary to training to reinforce skills. Allscripts regular business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm local time for the client, exclusive of published Allscripts holidays. Support staff is typically based out of the Raleigh NC office, but can also be regionally located across the US. The Allscripts Ambulatory Help Desk is organized to provide efficient, timely access to high quality support resources. By combining automated call distribution technology, a state of the art customer relationship management system and selfhelp Web access with our experienced application and IT professionals, Allscripts provides a support experience well suited to the demands of busy healthcare organizations. All calls may be placed directly to our support number at Calls of a non-urgent nature may be submitted directly to our call tracking system via the Allscripts client-only website. Outstanding issues and problems can be viewed online and downloaded as well. Allscripts will assign a tracking number to all reported problems and will work to determine the source of any Error, Malfunction or Defect and will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide a fix, bypass or workaround.
