1 SEDIBENG TVET COLLEGE GROW WITH THE FLOW COLLEGE COUNCIL PAID POSTS The College Council of Sedibeng TVET College hereby invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following three year fixed term contracts positions. The following posts will be filled according to the CET Act No.16 of 2006 (as amended). SUPPORT STAFF POSTS CENTRAL OFFICE Senior Admin Clerk: Programmer/ Technician 01 /2017 Minimum Requirements A Grade 12 or An NC (V) Level 4 or N6 Certificate or Diploma / Degree in Information Technology), A + and/or N+ Qualification. Ability to perform programming will be an added advantage. Duties: Duties: The incumbent must have experience in working on servers and desktops, doing hardware and software installations, etc. Assist desktop users by troubleshooting problems with hardware and software and provide appropriate solutions. Assist with the monitoring and performing ICT security checks on the network. Install and maintain anti-viruses software. Provide users with network access according to instructions provided by the management. Handle data backup activities by ensuring appropriate running of backup servers and drives. Restore data when required. Do maintenance on file and HyperV servers. Upgrading of hardware on request by management, building of new PC s. Ability to program in Visual Basic and C# Senior Admin Clerk: Human Resource Management and Development (2 posts) 02 /2017 Degree in Human Resources Management. An experience in Human Resource environment will be an added advantage. Knowledge of the public service and human resource legislative and regulatory framework, policies and procedures. Knowledge of the TVET Colleges landscape would be a strong recommendation. Duties: Human Resource Administration: Administer the process of appointing and terminating employees. Provide clerical assistance in scheduling interviews and taking down minutes. Administer the employee benefits scheme. Provide payroll information by collecting time and attendance records. Submits employee data reports by assembling, preparing and
2 analysing data. Support the HR function in scheduling and conducting induction of new employees. Records Administration. Performance Administration. Establish and maintain employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data. Maintain employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential. Facilitate the process of archiving employee files. Senior Admin Clerk: Supply Chain Management (2 posts) 03/2017 Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics. A computer literacy. Good communication and interpersonal relations skills (verbal and written). Good customer care attitude. Must be able to work in a team, planning and organising skills, time management, knowledge (understanding) of the PFMA and Treasury Regulations. Duties: Capturing of data on supplier database and requisitions on Thusanang (MIS). Register received application forms to register on the database, register requests, source quotations from the suppliers as per specifications, ensure that standard bidding documents are obtained & fully completed by the suppliers and attached to transactions before capturing requests. Verify details of suppliers against database of restricted companies maintained by National Treasury. Assist in timeous payments to the suppliers. Senior Admin Clerk: Office Admin (3 posts) 04 /2017 Degree in Office Administration or Management Assistant or Business Management. Good record keeping and administrative skills. Senior Admin Clerk: Finance Salary: Min R per annum (Salary Level 5) Ref: SEDCOL 05/2017 Minimum requirements: A Grade 12 or NC (V) Level 4 or N6 Certificate or Diploma / Degree in Finance with Accounting as major subject. Transactional experience of the financial systems, specifically relating to posting accounting entries Knowledge of the public sector and its financial accounting regulatory and legislative framework and payments and receipting procedures Experience in the administration of creditors and payments. Duties. Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services. Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures. Prepare, verify, and process invoices and coding payment documents. Prepare batches of invoices for data entry. Data enter invoices for payment. Process backup reports after data entry. Manage the weekly
3 cheque run. Record all cheques. Prepare vendor cheques for mailing. List all vendor cheques in the log book. Prepare manual cheques as and when required. Maintain listing of accounts receivable and payable. Maintain the general ledger. Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers HEIDELBERG CAMPUS Senior Admin Clerk: IT Technician 06 /2017 Degree in Information Technology, A + and/or N+ Qualifications. Duties: Assist in the examination management of the campus and be able to track the student certificate from the department Render general administration support services, including typing, filing, reception and switchboard duties. Deal with the collection, duplication and distribution of information and documents. Maintain records and management information. Deal with arrangements for meetings, Arrange meetings of stakeholders for the department.

Upgrading of hardware on request by management, building of new PC s. Restore Data when required. Monitor back-up logs on a daily basis and configure and support PC s scanning and printing. Explore financial aid opportunities, update and maintain records of students progress for admin purposes, maintain information on bursary scheme requirements. Resource Centre Management (Ensure access to and availability or resource centre facilities; Monitor and maintain equipment/material usage; Identify resource needs). Secretarial duties (Type reports/plans/letters/presentations).

Duties: Render general administration support services in the hospitality department; including handling bookings of the Auditorium, restaurant and boards rooms; responsible for stock control and compiling ingredients lists. Prepare venues for functions and meetings. Assist lecturers with purchasing of ingredients for practical cooking sessions and work with lecturers during the cooking sessions. Be able to prepare different menus for meeting and functions and arrange table seating. Control and take care of linen; crockery and cutlery. Assist with filling of documents such as portfolio dividers for lecturing staff and student s assessment tasks and other documents as requested. Able to use printing machines; report broken machines; take metre readings on the printing machines and send them to the service provider. Responsible for issuing envelops; files and exam pads during test sessions. Responsible for laminating and binding documents. Responsible for stock control of copy paper and files. Request copy papers for and lecturer s and student s files. Assist with administration duties and any other relevant duties as required.
