17 What is the cloud? TruMethods Member Tom writes: As you suggested regarding MRR in the past, I think it is important to define or identify "Cloud Services" and what they consist of. For example, we have been offering spam filtering via, Postini since This could be considered a cloud service. Also, in general our RMM tools are largely a cloud service, remote backup, etc. In fact, one could argue that the entire RMM tool set is a cloud service. I think many folks think of Cloud Services as virtual hosted servers, desktops, SaaS, HaaS, etc. We have actually re-branded our BDR solution as Cloud Care as the offsite image and hosted Datacenter virtualization option really makes an environment a Cloud based solution.

Tools (Backup, AV, Spam, Patch ) Allow you to automate and deliver better service Applications (Exchange, Sharepoint, etc.) Client facing, enable features or functionality Infrastructure (Servers, Data Storage, Security ) Replace or enhance onsite infrastructure Virtual Desktops Complete end user cloud experience
