5 THE PERCENTAGE OF THE US COMPANIES THAT HAVE EMPLOYEES OUTSIDE THE US IS 4.66%. 22 THE PERCENTAGE OF EMPLOYEES OUTSOURCED BY THE US COMPANIES IS 1.72%. 23 ON AVERAGE 20.19% OF TIME CLOCK PUNCHES WITH XIMBLE ARE MADE THROUGH A MOBILE DEVICE. REGARDLESS WHETHER IT WAS FOR CLOCK-IN OR CLOCK-OUT. 24 THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF INTERNAL COMMUNICATION MESSAGES (PER EMPLOYEE) SENT BY USING XIMBLE WHERE THAT OPTION IS ENABLED IS MESSAGES PER EMPLOYEE sent messages, 8565 employees, 1004 companies 25 THAT EMPLOYEES IN THE SYSTEM REQUESTED IS 9.32 REQUESTS PER EMPLOYEE. WHEN IT COMES TO THE U.S., THIS NUMBER IS SLIGHTLY SMALLER 8 REQUESTS PER EMPLOYEE. IN AUSTRALIA, THIS NUMBER GOES TO APPROXIMATELY 8.5 REQUESTS PER EMPLOYEE. Based on last year's records for the U.S. companies, the highest percentage of employees requested time off in June, July, and August. This is probably due to vacation days, which most people take in summer. These three months make up almost one third (30%) of all requests throughout the year. When it comes to Australia, the situation is quite similar. Most requests come during the summer months (in this case January, February, and March). These three months make up more than one third of all the requests, which is more than in the U.S. However, this is expected since the average number is higher for Australia Percentages JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEP OCT NOV DEC Approximately 95% of time off requests are approved by managers/supervisors in the U.S Percentages JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEP OCT NOV DEC Approximately 99% of time-off requests are approved by managers/supervisors in Australia.
6 THE GRAPH BELOW SHOWS THE NUMBER OF SHIFT TRADES FOR EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR Based on the sample of employees (808 of which were from the US), and 354 companies (100 from the U.S.). It is possible to see that June, July, and August are the months with most trades, probably due to an increasing number of PTO/vacation days. This means that these 3 months make up 37% of the shift trades during the whole year. One interesting fact is that employees request three shift trades a month on average. If a company has many employees, this could be very frustrating for managers, especially if they approve/reject such trades manually for each employee. 600 Number of trades JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEP OCT NOV DEC WHEN IT COMES TO COVERING SHIFTS THE NUMBER OF THESE REQUESTS IS ON AVERAGE 9 REQUESTS PER EMPLOYEE. Based on employees (1.065 from the US) in 263 companies (77 were U.S. companies). 4.40% of all the requests are partial covers which typically last for an average 3.5 hours. This is almost one half of a regular shift. This means that one employee is working almost 150% of his capacity due to covering some other employee who requested a shift cover. Another interesting fact is that a manager/supervisor approves 85% of shift covers after employees have already agreed to cover for each other. SIMILAR TO SHIFT TRADES, SHIFT DROPS ALSO TEND TO OCCUR PRETTY FREQUENTLY. Based on last year's records, the average number of shift drops per employee per month was approximately 5 shift drops (1.532 employees of which were from the U.S., and 138 companies - 43 of which were from the U.S.). However, there are no specific months when drops tend to occur more frequently.
