2 Who is Virtual City? Virtual City began it s operations in 2000 and has grown to be the current leader in supply chain automation solutions in East Africa. We are a technology company that focuses on end to end transformation of supply chains for meaningful impact. 5 Virtual City has developed a platform of solutions to address the most pressing needs across the Supply Value Chain We use user-friendly mobile tools to create efficiencies and eliminate fraud within the supply value chain by increasing transparency and visibility. 8 RetailForce is a tool for streamlining retail operations which, in partnership with mvisa, provides access to affordable credit to farmers How it works: Farm inputs, merchandise Orders & payments Pay with voucher Vouchers redeemed for cash from bank Suppliers Retailer Farmers Bank Retailer uses simple, customizable system for inventory management, order tracking (including re-order triggers), catalogue management, and sales recording Farmers receive vouchers (backed by financial institution) from cooperative upon delivery of commodities in advance of cash payment Retailer accepts vouchers as payment for inputs & other merchandise, with near instantaneous redemption of voucher for cash from bank.
