4 History Contest launched in order to mechanize the Champagne vineyards. Vincent Ballu is the winner. TECNOMA is created in Epernay, in the heart of the Champagne area. Dealer of Vermorel sprayers. Revolution in spraying technology for the SIMA show in Paris : Synthetic resins are used. Tanks made in polyester. Invention of the piston diaphragm pump. The first factory is established and begins the mass production of sprayers. First external development with the acquisition of specialized companies in spraying. TECNOMA begins to export. To cope with its development, TECNOMA built a new factory. TECNOMA launches successfully a new range of injected plastic garden equipment. Patrick BALLU succeeds his father. For 5 years, he invested 8,3 million euros in the factory. The production is fully integrated and organized into flexible workshops. TECNOMA changes colour, the new green range is launched. 6 Fully integrated factory and an industrial know-how The TECNOMA industrial know-how. To design its sprayers, the R&D department is located within the production unit. True competence center, working from conception to construction of sprayers and other equipment. Real host projects, it provides support services to all areas of the business and for the launch of new products. The office is equipped with CAD stations (Computer Aided Design) and has a prototype workshop. To design, TECNOMA controls several processes in painting and plastics. The painting of welded parts, high quality monitoring with permanent testing takes place in several stages. Blasting, the first liquid epoxy paint coating for oxidation protection, the second layer of polyester powder paint and passing through the oven. For plastics processing, TECNOMA has 3 rotomoulding areas. The rotomoulding process transforms polyethylene powder into tanks. For small plastic components, 2 injection areas transform polypropylene granulate into high quality components and nozzles. 6

7 A succession of assembly areas ensures adaptability and flexibility for manufacturing on demand to meet the customer s wishes. 10 Mounted sprayers Premis Xenis Maxis A range of light and compact mounted sprayers with capacities from 300 to 1600 litres. They are equipped with manual or hydraulic booms from 7 to 30 meters (lateral or rear folding). They all benefit from a robust, one-piece frame that ensures perfect maintenance of the tank to withstand all conditions. Four types of regulation are available : regulation by constant pressure, by constant pressure with pneumatic assistance, regulation proportional to flow meter and proportional flow to forward speed. The design ensures a low center of gravity to increase stability and offer a large range of equipment to adapt to all crops. They are equipped with hydraulic booms from 12 to 42 meters and can benefit from two types of regulation : by constant pressure with pneumatic assistance and proportional flow to forward speed. A fully suspended chassis gives excellent road performance and perfect boom stability in the field. They are equipped with lateral hydraulic booms from 24 to 44 meters and DPAE regulation with flowmeter (proportional flow to forward speed).
