What is this course about? 1.1 Course description In this course we will cover information architectures, processes and functions including enterprise resource planning (ERP), supply chain optimization, cloud computing, e-procurement, customer relationship management, and business analytics. This course focuses on the management of information flows in supply chains and business networks. It covers IT architectures, concepts and tools that facilitate the efficient and effective flow of information within a company and across a network of businesses. 1.2 Course content Supply chain information technology architectures Supply chain information technology applications Enterprise resource planning (ERP) Supply chain optimization Cloud computing E-procurement Customer relationship management Business analytics 2. Product: Presentation Format: Group presentation of supply chain IT model to be submitted in class, or online (video). Criteria Demonstration of an understanding of supply chain IT concepts, technologies and tools. Discussion of different drivers for supply chain IT. Application of supply chain IT knowledge. Understanding impact of different supply chain technology solutions on business. Presentation skills. Generic skill assessed Skill assessment level Organisation Communication Assessment Task 3: Supply chain IT project report Goal: Demonstrate knowledge of relevant concepts, theories and application in the context of a concrete business problem. Product: Report Format: Individual Criteria Demonstration of an understanding of supply chain IT concepts, technologies and tools. Discussion of different drivers for supply chain IT. Application of supply chain IT to a business problem. Understanding different supply chain technology solutions on business. Analysis of IT implemention. Critical reflection of supply chain IT solutions.

4 Page 4 Generic skill assessed Problem solving Applying technologies Skill assessment level 5.3 Additional assessment requirements Plagiarism In order to minimise incidents of plagiarism and collusion, this course may require that some of its assessment tasks, when submitted to Blackboard, are electronically checked through SafeAssign. This software allows for text comparisons to be made between your submitted assessment item and all other work that SafeAssign has access to. Eligibility for Supplementary Assessment Your eligibility for supplementary assessment in a course is dependent of the following conditions applying: a) The final mark is in the percentage range 47% to 49.4% b) The course is graded using the Standard Grading scale c) You have not failed an assessment task in the course due to academic misconduct 5.4 Submission penalties Late submission of assessment tasks will be penalised at the following maximum rate: 5% (of the assessment task s identified value) per day for the first two days from the date identified as the due date for the assessment task. 10% (of the assessment task s identified value) for the third day 20% (of the assessment task s identified value) for the fourth day and subsequent days up to and including seven days from the date identified as the due date for the assessment task. A result of zero is awarded for an assessment task submitted after seven days from the date identified as the due date for the assessment task. Weekdays and weekends are included in the calculation of days late. To request an extension you must contact your course coordinator to negotiate an outcome. 6.
