Capabilities: Cloud Brokerage is accessed through a single point-of-entry called a portal to help enable businesses optimize cloud consumption across public, private, and hybrid clouds. Four solutions are available for purchase: IBM Cloud Brokerage Planning, shared or dedicated SaaS provides application screener and cloud compare capabilities. Overview IBM Cloud Brokerage products enable IT organizations to more easily procure and provision software and computing resources from multiple suppliers and cloud service providers from a single pane of glass. Organizations can capitalize on the choice and agility that the cloud provides, without sacrificing control or abandoning existing investments, resulting in reduced risk, increased speed and agility, and lower operating costs, all at the same time. IBM Cloud Brokerage, available in both a shared SaaS and dedicated SaaS model, includes all of the above Cloud Brokerage Planning capabilities, plus it adds buy and manage capabilities which provide clients with access to a fully managed IT service broker platform available as software as a service (SaaS), enabling clients to compare, buy, and manage cloud-based services from multiple vendors via a common services catalog. Cloud Brokerage users have a single place to go to evaluate their options. IT can aid in the selection of the right offering by giving users access to the Cloud Brokerage decision analytics tools. These tools highlight the capability and price differences between providers, helping users to make informed choices. The IT as a service catalog comes preloaded with public cloud providers and the APIs required to keep the pricing up-to-date. IT administration can easily augment the catalog, adding vendors' specific contract terms and pricing rules to give users and IT an accurate view of costs. The IT as a service catalog features many public cloud providers and includes API integration to help ensure that pricing and services stay up to date. Additionally, if you have previously negotiated contract terms and pricing, you can load these into Cloud Brokerage and help ensure that Cloud Brokerage continuously reflects your organization's contract pricing. User access. Since giving access to users comes with risks, Cloud Brokerage enables you to restrict access to services by role and build solution blueprints that have been designed and vetted by IT. This approach can reduce time to deployment, control access to services, and mitigate risk. Governance without delays. organization wants to have to pick speed over security and governance. The ideal is that users should have access to choices that come with the appropriate governance, controls, and policies without any burden or time added to the process. IBM Cloud Brokerage Planning SaaS Cloud Brokerage Planning SaaS available in both a dedicated (single tenant) and shared (multi-tenant) versions are designed for business CIOs and IT architects who are in the initial stages of determining a cloud strategy and examining workloads for fit and feasibility readiness. Cloud Brokerage Planning SaaS capabilities: Application screener provides metrics and recommendations for businesses transitioning to the cloud. The key features include viewing a portfolio of apps side by side, screening a new application, viewing reports for already screened applications, downloading reports, and capability to export the screened application data into a YAML formatted file. Cloud compare enables organizations to compare an application's price, performance, and feature coverage across multiple public and private cloud providers. The key features include using predefined workload templates for comparison, customizing the configuration and feature requirements for the application, importing application data from a YAML file, exporting reports of comparison results, and exporting bill of materials for specific cloud providers or locations. IBM Cloud Brokerage SaaS Cloud Brokerage SaaS is available in both a dedicated (single tenant) and a shred (multi-tenant) versions are for businesses undergoing significant IT transformation or renovation with a CIO seeking a means to enable enterprise IT with a customizable, self-service user experience. This offering provides a dedicated Cloud Brokerage environment, includes all of the planning capabilities in Cloud Brokerage Planning, and adds the following buy and manage capabilities: Buy capabilities: Service store enables users to choose a prepackaged solution from the cloud services marketplace through a user-friendly, self-service store interface. Users can browse, search, configure, order, and access provisioned services. Custom solution designer enables users to design virtual data centers with configurable virtual machines with CPUs, memory, storage, and networking options; then associate the resources with applications and other services. Service store key features are architecture visualization as part of design, service aggregation across infrastructure as a service (IaaS), managed services, and other stand-alone services, estimated bill of materials across providers, application, and data center views, export and import of solution prints (design templates), virtual data centers order consolidation, and submit orders. 4 progress and providing milestone updates. The approval steps can be configured through policies (for example, auto-approval, spend based approvals, and approvals by specific users). Manage capabilities: Manage users and roles enables administrators to create user accounts for their organization and assign specific roles to these user accounts. Access dashboards enables users to track cost and capacity from standard dashboards. Access bill charges enables users to view and download monthly consolidated charges, across providers, for each customer account. Access and change provisioned services enables users to manage change orders for provisioned services. Manage budgets enables budget managers to define budgets for specific time periods, set budget alert thresholds, and receive monthly reports on budget spending. Configure policies supports multiple types of policies that can be customize to meet the business needs of each account or global configuration across all accounts in a single enterprise. IBM Cloud Brokerage Implementation Service Cloud Brokerage Implementation Service provides professional services to assist organizations with defining their environment, documenting specific requirements, and assessing their readiness to implement the solution and provide three remote user training sessions. Implementation is performed remotely between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday in organization's time zone, excluding national holidays.
