1 PÀ ÁðlPÀ «±Àé«zÁå AiÀÄ, zságàªáqà KARNATAK UNIVERSITY, DHARWAD Phone: (0836) Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility Fax : (0836) Date: TENDER NOTIFICATION (Through e-procurement system only) E-tenders are invited from reputed manufacturing companies/authorized dealers/agencies for the supply of X-ray Diffractometer (Powder) with accessories to the Head, DST- Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility (SAIF), Karnatak University, Dharwad, for Specifications for X-ray Diffractometer (Powder) with accessories 1 X-ray Generator Sealed ceramic tube of ~ 3 kw or more X-ray tube type: copper target 2 Goniometer Vertical type goniometer with θ-θ generator. Minimum step size of θ: or better. 2θ range: or better. Motorized axis for auto optics alignments of various components of the diffractometer. 3 Detector Multistrip fast 1dimensional detector (high sensitive detector to pickup weak signals) (without cooling). 4 Software Fully licensed advanced-level software for data processing for both qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis, Thin film analysis software etc. Complete licensed Rietveld software for crystal structure analysis (indexing, crystal structure, lattice constant refinement, crystal size determination etc). 5 Stabilizer A suitable UPS of total rating more than the power consumed by the instrument. Suitable for 1 hour back up. It must support the instrument, computer, chiller and accessories. 6 Chiller A suitable low noise imported and continuously operatable chiller that must be completely compatible with the supplied diffractometer with wheels for movement. Compressor should be a branded one. 7 SAXS(Small Angle X- ray Scattering for thin films characterization) SAXS attachment with particle size and shape software to be quoted. 8 Instrument enclosure A good enclosure with 100 % radiation protection 9 Computer An advanced computer with 32 screen or better (Minimum 1 TB Hard disc or better, 8 GB RAM. 7.2k, graphics card, CD/DVD write and read, Super Multi SATA etc) with advanced printer and with suitable UPS for 1 hour support

2 10 Calibration standards At least two calibration standards must be supplied along with equipment for the routine calibration of the diffractometer 11 Warranty At least 36 months warranty from the date of installation. Additional quote for 2 years AMC after the expire of the warranty period 12 Installation and training 13 Spares and consumables A trained company engineer must give hands on training for the operator/researchers of the above equipment. A follow up training for 1-2 days in 6 months from the date of commissioning. These must be quoted for at least 3 years of operation including glass/aluminum sample holders, low background sample holders. Spares for the quoted instrument should be available for at least 5 years from the date of installation. 14 Electrical accessories University will provide only the powerline as required. The supplier must prepare the laboratory with additional electrical wiring with complete required accessories. 15 Safety X-ray tube protection against overvoltage, overload, overcurrent and failure of water supply. 16 F.O.R till up to Karnatak University, Dharwad All the expenses including insurance, State entry taxes/custom clearance taxes etc. and transportation should be mentioned and the same must be paid by the supplier. The University will provide the DSIR certificate (Exemption certificate) and other required documents for the clearance of the equipment. The supplier has to take the responsibility of getting equipment released (from the airport) and commissioning the same at the University. 17 Model The companies must offer the globally sold available model without any geographical restrictions. Interested parties may download the tender form from the web-site: Tender should be through e-portal only. 3 General Terms & Conditions (vendor should satisfy the following): 1. The bidder should be a licensed dealer of the product. Manufacturers Authorization Form (MAF) shall be furnished in the technical bid. 2. Karnatak University will not deal with any entity other than the authorized bidder, whatsoever the nature of its relation with the bidder. 3. Bidders shall not be under the declaration of ineligibility for corrupt and fraudulent practices issued by the Government of Karnataka. 4. Technical Bid: The Technical bid should be complete in all respects and contain all information about the Scientific Equipment as specified. It should not contain any price information. However it should confirm that all required rates have been quoted in Commercial Offer (CO), without showing the actual amounts in the Technical Bid. It is mandatory to submit all the details in the prescribed formats duly filled in, along with the offer. KUD at its discretion may not evaluate a technical bid in case of non-submission or partial submission of technical details. The technical bid must be submitted by bidder to KUD in an organized and structured manner. 5. The bidder should fill the complete details in the technical bid format and should be submitted in the company letter head with contact details. 6. Bidder should provide comprehensive onsite warranty for 3 years from the date of installation of the Scientific Equipment. 7. Installation and commissioning should be done within 15 days of delivery. 8. In case of any operational problem, the bidder should be able to resolve the problem within shortest possible time. 9. Educational offer (if any) is to be provided. 10. Annual turnover, GST registration certificate, PAN card, Authorization letter of the bidder should be provided. 11. A declaration for having not been disqualified / black listed / suspended from empanelment or from participation in any tender from Government or Quasi Government agency in the union of India shall be attached. 12. The manufacturer Quality Control Certificate should be accompanied with the final products. 13. Incomplete specification/documents offered by the bidder will not be considered and liable to be rejected. 14. Quoted amount in the tender should include all applicable taxes, transport charges, installation charges and warranty. The net rate quoted per unit in respect of indigenous goods shall be for F.O.R. Destination, which should include all taxes, VAT, insurance, freight charges etc.

4 15. EMD details submitted through e-procurement portal. The successful bidder should furnish bank guaranty of 2% of the total value of the equipment as security deposit covering the standard warranty period. 16. The University reserves rights to accept, reject or postpone any or all of the Tenders without assigning any reason thereof. 17. The bidders may please note that, the university has the discretion to withdraw any or all the items invited under the subject notification at any time before issuing the supply order. 18. Non-compliance by the bidder to any of the conditions will entail forfeiture of EMD and rejection of tender. 19. In case of any dispute arising out of this contract, the decision of the Vice Chancellor is final. 20. Standard manufacturers warranty for 3 years. The comprehensive AMC for next 2 years from the completion of warranty period is to included in the Unit Price. TECHNICAL CRITERIA 1. GST Registration copy 2. Copy of the PAN card issued by I.T Department; 3. Full address and telephone number of the office of the Assessing Authority under the Tax Act/rules 4. Sales Tax/VAT Clearance Certificates of last two years i.e & Annual Turnover Certificate for the last two years i.e & IT returns for the last two years i.e & Number and date of the certificate/dealership authorization letter issued by original equipment manufacturers for having appointed the bidders as the authorized seller/distributor of Audio Video Equipments. 8. Name/s, contact number/s of authorized person/s of government organizations/institutions/research Organizations to which the bidder has supplied scientific Equipments. 9. List of documents submitted for technical bid. 10. The compliance sheet comparing the specifications as stated in the tender document and as offered by the bidder shall be submitted. Deviation if any along with explanation shall be clearly mentioned.
