3 COMPANY OVERVIEW Record Engineering Sales, founded in 1973, and a few years later taken over by Trevor Howell, is a market focused and leading supplier of engineering solutions and international mining supplies in South Africa. Over the years, Record Engineering Sales has not only grown substantially but evolved into a key player in the mining sector becoming a preferred supplier to numerous Original Equipment Manufacturers and large mining operations. The company has entered into exclusive agency and distributorship agreements with a number of world class suppliers of mining related products and technologies enabling Record Engineering Sales to offer with confidence, engineering solutions that supply the required operational reliability and cost efficiencies required within the mining and related industrial sectors. 4

Fast Fill The suite of innovative Fast Fill Solutions offer products focused on solving fuelling and fluid transfer problems. Fast Fill s fast and efficient system minimise downtime enabling maximum production. Smart Steps Smart-Steps ladder solutions are a superior access system, tailor made for mining and earthmoving applications. The focus of their design is aimed at increasing safety during day-to-day operations. CFT Centrifugal Filtration Technologies (CFT) offer turnkey solutions for air filtration processes. CFT s unique design has been specifically developed with a focus on delivering an efficient and cost effective solution. MELCO One of the world s major manufacturers of conveyor equipment is also the largest supplier of idlers and rollers in South Africa and Africa. Safe-Away These high-quality ladder and access systems for the mining and earthmoving sectors are designed with safety and efficiencies in mind. Freudenberg Filtration Technologies A leading developer and manufacturer of air filtration and pressurisation equipment. Hydrau-Flo Hydrau-Flo valve systems offer a safe, clean and reliable solution for transferring fuel while at the same time eliminating the risk of over-filling, tank ruptures and environmental contamination. Fractum Innovative free-fall breaking technology solutions tailor made for mineral processing applications. 7

All of our after sales technical support services are managed by a team of skilled application engineers. Record Engineering Sales currently has two facilities at Kathu as well as a fully skilled team based at Postmasburg, both situated in the Northern Cape. 8
