A new way of thinking about the accident market sector

Welcome to Solve Solve is a next-generation body and paint programme. Solve ensures that repairs are carried out using a best process, best parts approach which optimises costs, ensures the best possible post-accident experience, and uphold duties of care through safe, guaranteed repair practices. Our stakeholders include vehicle manufacturers, repair referrers, product manufacturers, distributors, bodyshops and policy holders. Solve s prime objective is the creation of best-practice, profitable and continually improving bodyshop networks which are perfect ambassadors for the repair industry. How is Solve different? Who is behind Solve? The Solve programme is managed by ITAS. ITAS operates bodyshop approval programmes in the UK, across Europe and internationally. We also provide and support specialist technical training programmes. Our customers include Bentley, Jaguar/ Land Rover, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. Our automotive repair management software brings compelling value. Core manages audit compliance and the critical data behind each network bodyshop. Clarity is a reporting solution which gives real-time access to all the data that matters, in one place. Car Tracker is the most accurate monitor of automotive repair time ever developed. Solve draws on expertise from across the automotive industry. We offer a unique programme comprising field team management, standards authoring, auditing, technical training, ground-breaking software, critical data analysis, industry influence and commercial leadership. Our industry-leading software gives an instant 360-degree view of how bodyshops are performing, flexible management reporting and a live overview of every repair in progress across the network. It is the ideal platform for implementing value-add strategic services such as work deployment, customer satisfaction surveys and repair certificates. 3 Bodyshop Approvals The Solve bodyshop approval programme is thorough, rigorous and worthwhile. We create custom solutions focusing on repair quality, technical competence and the ideal customer experience. We train and certificate technicians. We audit and assess. And we show networks how their bodyshops are performing. We work closely with vehicle manufacturers to interpret and compile standards into practical guidelines which enable bodyshops to follow the approved repair methodology. Once the programme is in place, we introduce it to bodyshops, undertaking an initial audit and delivering all necessary technical training to ensure that the methods are understood and applied. Ongoing compliance is monitored through our Core software, which gives bodyshop and network managers access to detailed reporting. Core also produces automated reminders and notifications of tasks nearing completion deadlines. It even gives alerts when a technician s training is due to expire or when equipment needs servicing. Bodyshops can conduct top-up self-assessments through Core to augment our continual in-person auditing service and we are always on hand to advise on and conduct necessary training to avoid skill fade on a per-bodyshop and cross-network basis. 3 Create Survey Train Monitor Report

Software The Solve programme s software brings significant and compelling value. 1 Our three solutions (the 3Cs) streamline the collection of analysis of the relevant data which is needed to measure the performance of a bodyshop network and to set relevant and balanced KPIs against which progression can be assessed. 1 Core Repairer information, training, audit and standards compliance database. 2 2 Clarity All the data that matters: repair costs and management information reporting. 3 Car Tracker Job allocation, job progress tracking, DVLA-integrated vehicle database, customer communication and repair certificate generation. 4 3

Core Core is how we gather key network information and ensure that standards are set, communicated and practised. Core is a user-friendly web portal which can be rolled out across multiple locations with minimal cost. It fits seamlessly into a bodyshop s way of working, automatically extracting all the crucial data from their existing management systems. Core integrates with 95% of body management systems out of the box. Core gives more than just a one-time snapshot of a bodyshop s compliance status. It automatically creates prioritised action plans, with deliverables and deadlines, and sends notifications around key dates for staff training, equipment servicing and audit compliance, with information visible at both bodyshop and network level. Core is used to build a complete picture of each bodyshop: its capacity, competencies, training schedules, performance and standards compliance. Core is also a network communication tool containing visible action plans and accessible standard documentation, and which promotes productive two-way communication between vehicle manufacturers and bodyshops. Core s prioritised action plans can be managed by the bodyshops themselves, removing the need for constant auditing and enabling field teams to dedicate more resource to developing business and implementing new initiatives based on actual priorities. Core catalogues each location s physical resources, its dealer partners, its approved paint schemes and its technical capabilities. It maintains staff records for each bodyshop and databases each technician s qualifications and training schedule. 5

Clarity All the data that matters, in one place. Management information reporting is delivered through the Clarity module, which helps networks to see their bodyshops more clearly. Clarity gives powerful reporting out of the box and integrates with any existing data source to give custom reporting which fits perfectly. Bodyshops can compare themselves on a like-for-like basis against other (anonymised) network members by number of ovens or technicians, by work provider, by vehicle manufacturer, by location or by any other factor. All stakeholders can rely upon our reports to give a truly accurate and up-to-date snapshot of throughput, profitability, parts sales, key-to-key time, product efficiency, paint usage, total loss and more. Actuals, not estimates Clarity pulls actual costs through for reporting based upon bodyshop invoices and actual job timings from the Car Tracker module, leveraging completely accurate and dependable information, never estimates. Project the future Clarity isn t just about reporting on what has happened. It s a powerful data modelling tool, too. If you want to see how profitability might be increased by adding a new oven, or a jig, or a new technician in one bodyshop or many, Clarity will tell you. 6

Car Tracker The most accurate monitor of repair time ever developed Car Tracker gathers and shares repair data between vehicle manufacturers, work providers, bodyshops, paint manufacturers and policy holders. As a deployment tool, Car Tracker helps to allocate vehicles to the right bodyshop according to capacity, capability and proximity, reducing keyto-key times and courtesy car costs and improving CSI scores. The progress of any repair can be tracked through Car Tracker from first notification of loss, leak-free recovery and deployment to repair and return. Through Car Tracker bodyshops have complete access to all the information around each vehicle s repair history and any optional parts fitted - all the data needed to correctly estimate and repair the vehicle right first time, and to reduce additional administrative and rework costs. Job status is managed through Car Tracker s intuitive interface, with technicians booking into a job and selecting the appropriate status: pending, strip, repair, paint, refit or collect. Each step of the job is recorded to the second, giving valuable insight into where efficiencies can be found at each stage of each job for each bodyshop in the network. The system also communicates with DVLA data to highlight current recalls posted against vehicles. Through its integration with Core, Car Tracker leverages invoice costs, vehicle data and job timings from each bodyshop management system, including parts, paint, courtesy car allocation and training, and makes these available for reporting on a per-job basis. Car Tracker even integrates with bodyshop paint scales to gives absolute transparency to paint usage, assuring that the correct scheme is used for all repairs. 7

Customer Satisfaction and Repair Certificates Car Tracker sends updates to the customer, too, keeping them aware with the progress of their repair and enhancing the overall post-accident experience. The system can be integrated with existing CSI processes to encourage customers to give valuable feedback on the service they have received. Repair guarantee programmes can also be run through Car Tracker. The system can generate automated repair certificates which we produce and distribute, including in the mailout marketing and communication material on behalf of the vehicle manufacturer or other stakeholders. For vehicle manufacturers Simple management of bodyshop networks Real-time data reporting for repairs Compare bodyshop activity by region, vehicle type, paints or parts usage, or insurer approval For insurers and accident management centres Accurate allocation of work to bodyshops according to capacity, capability or location Track repairs in real time from FNOL onwards Complete and accurate cost and key-to-key time analysis For bodyshops Automatically receive new jobs from work providers View vehicle repair history, factory- and showroom-fitted parts Simple interface for updating job progress For paint manufacturers Integration with paint scales to enable accurate reporting on paint usage by repairer For customers Monitor progress of repair online or on smartphone Encourages engagement in CSI process post-repair Issues repair certificates 8

Training ITAS Training is trusted by leading vehicle manufacturers including Bentley, Jaguar/Land Rover, Mercedes Benz, Peugeot and Citroen. We offer specialist bodyshop training delivered by experts who tailor comprehensive theoretical and practical programmes focusing on latest techniques and methodologies. Our training is rigorous and our standards are very high. Every candidate is critically assessed on their performance and we will only certificate technicians who demonstrate the necessary skills and aptitude. When we certificate, we need to be sure that the repair work carried out during training not only looks good, but lasts. To this end, we keep on file samples of the work carried out by each student and test quality on an ongoing basis. The automotive industry moves quickly and our training keeps pace, with top-up courses and modules designed to disseminate best practice from the manufacturer all the way to the bodyshop floor. 9
