"The forward looking statement below speaks directly to our solution, enabling non technical, C- level executives to stitch together data sources and gain invaluable insight" Timothy Portley President of Visibilis Analytics on a recent Gartner Study Like anyone else in an organization, citizen data scientists need the right technology to do their jobs. In this case, that's one of data-discovery offerings that automate parts of complex processes such as data preparation and pattern identification. Recent 2017 study by Gartner cites that a citizen data scientist as "a person who creates or generates models that leverage predictive or prescriptive analytics but whose primary job function is outside of the field of statistics and analytics. Into this group would fall executives whose business function will range from accounting, marketing, and operations right up to the C-level suite. This new role is emerging to deal with the ongoing shortage of data scientists. To try to compensate for the shortage, data discovery solutions are automating tasks that have traditionally been done manually by a data scientist, statistician, or other analytics expert. The confluence of trends is giving rise to a new role that Gartner calls a "citizen data scientist."

6 Competitive Analysis: UniFocus vs Visibilis Analytics UniFocus is an effective tool which operates at a very high, general level like most "off the shelf" software. Visibilis operates at a very broad, detailed level with unique tailored customer engagements. Visibilis allows you to have a vision of two things what the customer is saying and what the customer is feeling. UniFocus only addresses what the customer is saying. As such. Visibilis allows you to hear the true voice of the customer and the sentiment the customer is expressing. Visibilis operates to two kinds of data mentioned by the customer simple statements and expressions of sentiment or attitude. With simple statements Visibilis finds the voice of the customer. As an example of Visibilis listening to what the guest is saying the voice of the customer - consider the following question when a guest enters a room what do they pay attention to? Visibilis shows you the EXACT things they notice sheets, size and type of the bed, bathroom soap, cleanliness of the room, the view from the window, temperature of the room, sewing kit, bath mat, towels, etc. By extension it can be inferred what the guest does not pay attention to by examining what is not mentioned. Furthermore, Visibilis allows management to see the relative importance of what was mentioned. For examples towels were mentioned 200 times while nightly turn down service was mentioned only once. This allows management to rank the relative importance of all the features that make up a room. The same type of analysis is true for hotel employees. How often is the concierge mentioned? Maid service? Reservations? Valet parking? Etc. While listening to the voice of the customer Visibilis listens to EVERYTHING that is on the mind of the guest. This includes such topics as view, check in, check out, parking, room service, the room itself, amenities, reservation handling, dining experience, the hotel pool, beach accessibility, the view from the room, and so forth. We leaves no stone unturned when it comes to hearing what the guest is saying. Visibilis listens to EVERYTHING the guest us saying and makes all of this information available to the analyst charged with listening to what the guest is saying. Visibilis makes a distinction between statements made by the customer and sentiments expressed by the customer. As far as guest sentiment (or attitude) is concerned, Visibilis listens to the attitude of the customer. Is the attitude positive or negative? After sensing the positive or negative feeling expressed by the customer, Visibilis then goes the next step and listens to WHY the guest has the attitude that the guest has. Was the attitude caused by interactions with hotel employees? With the condition of the room? With check in? Check out? Etc? Visibilis is sensitive to ALL of the factors that cause either a positive or negative attitude with the customer. Then, after the customer has expressed an opinion about something, Visibilis goes further and determines exactly what caused the customer to feel the way they do.

7 Once management knows WHY the customer is reacting the way that they are, then management can do something about the cause of that attitude. For example, Visibilis will find out that the customer didn t like a room because of the bathroom. The water in the bathroom was too tepid or was never warm. Visibilis will find that the customer was unhappy with food: The food was too salty. Or the food was too spicy. When the customer was unhappy, our solution tells you WHY the customer was unhappy. One special feature of Visibilis is the ability to determine price sensitivity. We can examine the case when a customer starts to express feelings about price sensitivity along with the ability to sense feelings towards promotions. Have promotions been successful? As there been NO reaction towards a promotion? A final feature of our solution is the ability to drill down to the actual comment itself. On any given analysis, if management wants to actually read the comments of the guest Visibilis allows you to drill down to the lowest level of detail. Our solution is two ahead of UniFocus by leveraging Textual Disambiguation, ranked by Gartner as Best Cool New Technology. Visualization and Data Association is done with Qlik Gartner Magic Quadrant leader in the BI Space.
