3 Extend the reach of BAM Monitor events from WebSphere Message Broker: WebSphere Business Monitor will be able to monitor WebSphere Message Broker run times. Receiving events from WebSphere Message Broker will enable you to leverage your investments in WebSphere Message Broker to help provide real-time visibility into your business processes and operations. Monitor events from WebSphere Business Services Fabric: WebSphere Business Monitor can now receive events from WebSphere Business Services Fabric, offering additional visibility into dynamic process execution on the WebSphere Business Services Fabric run time. Monitor events from WebSphere Business Events: WebSphere Business Events detects business situations using the Business Event Processing technology. These situations can be sent as alerts and events to WebSphere Business Monitor. WebSphere Business Events provides earlier insight and detection of business situations by correlating and detecting patterns in the stream of business events. WebSphere Business Monitor, in combination with WebSphere Business Events, will be able to provide more comprehensive insight and analysis to business users based on these additional business event streams of data. Enhanced support for business users and business analysts Users can now collaborate on dashboard design through enhancements to WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server Users are able to upload static images of dashboard designs enabling business analysts and IT developers to collaborate and make quick iterations on the dashboard design. WebSphere Business Monitor provides the ability for business users to change business relevant rules This enhancement will allow business users to modify the business rules parameters directly from within their monitoring environment when WebSphere Business Monitor is used in conjunction with WebSphere Process Server. This feature allows business users to respond very rapidly to changing business conditions. Enhanced dashboard experience New features, such as the ability to switch visualization types directly from the dashboard, an increased choice of color palettes, and new visualizations types, improve the dashboard experience for the business users. These features help business users benefit from greater productivity and will require minimal involvement of IT to set up. Accelerates time to value Graphical debugging of monitor models WebSphere Business Monitor introduces a number of innovations to enable you to reduce the time to deploy monitoring solutions, resulting in faster return on investment. Monitoring models can now be debugged using graphical means. With the debugger, an IT developer can step through the execution of monitor logic when an event arrives, set breakpoints, examine the values of event fields, and the effect on metrics. The debugger provides a graphical representation of all elements in a monitor model, such as metrics, triggers, stopwatches, and counters, as well as the sequence of steps that will be executed as events are being consumed. This enables developers to quickly identify problems in the monitoring models, reducing the time to develop new monitoring solutions. Lifecycle management of monitoring models The Monitor Model Editor leverages the Rational Asset Manager so that monitoring models may be published to this best-in-class asset repository. Integration with Rational Asset Manager will enable users to manage a large number of monitoring models, along with their other BPM assets through the BPM lifecycle. Users have the ability to browse assets in a structured view that is tailored to the monitoring model. Similarly, users may be able to import assets from the repository into the Monitor Model Editor. This feature helps users manage their monitoring models, perform impact analysis, and track usage to accelerate the development and deployment of monitoring solutions.
