8 Time for Change in Small Business Primary solutions today require regular on-site assistance for upgrades and patches. Backup is a difficult process often involving tapes or other media that needs to be inserted in a specific order and rotation. Customer relationship with their IT business partner is typically based on an hourly rate for installation and break / fix. Existing solutions can require 8-15 hours a month just for patches. Small business is dependent on availability of IT support on site to resolve system issues Upgrades of existing solutions require extensive planning and services for deployment Existing solutions have artificial licensing barriers above 75 users and above 300 users. Customer is required to grow infrastructure and pay a higher price for licenses as they grow. Partners build their business around value, guarantees, etc.

9 Imagine a World Where Systems install and configure themselves with minimal human interaction No DVDs to load Completely remotely managed Patches and upgrades are less frequent and only one click away New capabilities are download automatically They are then installed and configured automatically Worries about extended downtime or loss of critical data don't exist Autonomics to self heal, bare metal recovery Automatic backups, easy to move offsite, easy to restore There is no artificial barrier to growth in a small business No complicated licensing models Not forced to buy more equipment by licensing models Add applications to meet business needs Reliable support, predictable IT costs One vendor for HW and SW with unlimited, free support The ability for business partners to offer customers a subscription offering vs an hourly rate for break/fix
