5 The Connected Enterprise Asset Management About This Script This script provides the necessary steps and talking points needed to demonstrate Asset Management related subjects, using the MightyQ s Cookie Company s Connected Enterprise. This script shows how various employees of the fictional MightyQ s Cookie Company use their Connected Enterprise across multiple sites with respect to their business concerns. Different employees can access data specific to their roles: If I'm in Management, I can see my production status and recommend adjustments to better manage my global operations and maximize profits. If I'm in Operations, I gain insight into usage patterns from operators, materials, equipment - enabling me to improve or fine tune the process for better performance. And if I'm responsible for Maintenance I now know when to deploy the right resources for predictive maintenance to minimize equipment failures and eliminate costly unscheduled downtime. This presentation covers the following attributes, with an emphasis on: Asset Management Event Logs Asset Management Audit Logs This script provides an example you can follow with your customer. The purpose of the script is to provide you with the talking points, you are encouraged to embellish and augment the script to meet your style and your audience. Do not feel that you are bound to follow the script exactly. Be creative and make it yours. Note that there is much more content that you can leverage within the system. 6 Delivery Options As the presenter of this demonstration, you have several options for delivering the demonstration, they are: Via your PC leveraging the Demo as a Service (DaaS) Site o This has the benefit of showing a working system and allows you to go off script if needed o This also comes with risks associated with network speed that may affect performance. Via the PowerPoint Presentation o A set of PowerPoint slides are available that cover this demonstration o This is static and will not allow you to go off script. o This has the benefit of not requiring Internet access and therefore not being affected by performance issues o It has reduced impact for the customer as it is not live Via a Video o Various chapters have supporting videos that can be run from the DaaS o You can turn off the speakers to allow you to talk to the video as it runs Via a Remote Desktop Connection to a Client Image, this would be a Live Demonstration o This method allows you to remote into an image that already is configured with all of the client tools o This would require special access that you will need to request in advance 5/18/2017 The Connected Enterprise Asset Management, Rev 1.00 Page 6 of 12

7 Using This Script First, familiarize yourself with this script before presenting to your customer. Each Chapter in this manual walks you through demonstrating the different scenarios our customers are facing and explains important features and capabilities. This manual provides the following information for each display (when applicable): 1. Page Description - A high-level description of the page / content being demonstrated. It will often identify the product being used. 2. Story Board - The story board provides the story behind the demonstration. Its purpose is to help put the demonstration into a real-world context. Use it as is or add your own version. It is provided to give you some context to use when presenting to your customer; you do not need to memorize it word for word. 3. Value - Value statement to the Customer. 4. What steps do I need to perform? - Actions you perform in order to demonstrate the capabilities and features identified. Every customer is motivated a little differently, so customize your delivery using your sales skills. You have exciting products that can make your clients more productive, so keep that in mind as you find a path forward with your customer. 8 Before You Begin It is recommended that you become familiar with the MightyQ s Cookie Company prior to utilizing this demonstration. You can find training material on Noggin at: Training videos related to Messaging and Technical Details are available. Should you choose to use the DaaS, you should run through the following checklist prior to the demonstration: Ensure that you can connect to the DaaS site ( Ensure that the speed of your network connection is adequate to run the demonstration to the customer s satisfaction Optionally, connect to the demonstration in advance to avoid the login page 5/18/2017 The Connected Enterprise Asset Management, Rev 1.00 Page 8 of 12

9 Demo The Connected Enterprise Asset Management This demonstration is separated into the following Chapters: CHAPTER 1 ASSET MANAGEMENT EVENT LOGS CHAPTER 2 ASSET MANAGEMENT AUDIT LOGS You can demonstrate the entire script together or just select the individual chapters. It is recommended that you are familiar with the complete story in case you are asked to demonstrate the other chapters. For the rest of this document, it will be assumed that you are doing a live demonstration. 10 Chapter 1 Asset Management Event Logs 1. Page Description This is the Event Log - Latest 500 Entries report. These are the logs generated by the system, including the disaster recovery schedule results. What steps do I need to perform? 1. Open Internet Explorer and navigate to the VantagePoint portal ( 2. You will be brought to the Welcome page of MightyQ s Connected Enterprise. 3. Under the blue Use Cases tile located to the right of the webpage, click Asset Management. This will default to the Event Log report. Story Board To maximize your investment in a Connected Enterprise it is crucial to manage assets effectively. It also means managing change and how it impacts uptime, productivity, quality, employee safety or regulatory compliance. Monitoring and auditing equipment or network health, as well as overall resource availability creates a foundation for optimizing maintenance and plant operations. With a centralized tool for securing, managing, versioning, tracking and reporting automation related assets across our facilities we can improve uptime, productivity, quality, employee safety and regulatory compliance. 11 Chapter 2 Asset Management Audit Logs 1. Page Description This is Audit Log Latest 500 Entries report. The entries in this report are generated by users in your AssetCentre system. A user can see a list of certain actions that each user has done. What steps do I need to perform? 1. In the left hand tree, select the Audit Log Latest 500 Entries report. Story Board We now have the ability to scan our network and discover all the connected devices and work stations in our facilities. It can do this automatically, with limited additional management oversight or work from our employees. Now we can better: Value: Secure access to the system and track users' actions Automatically track firmware versions and provide automatic backup and compare operations And manage process instrumentation calibration schedules and certificates Audit Logs provide information on additional activity and help identify potential issues. 12 Summary In a Connected Enterprise, you can put all these technologies to use, and improve your plant operations from the inside out. We have better secured the access to our control systems preventing unauthorized or unwanted changes from occurring, we have a documented audit trail of who made what changes and when those changes were made and we always know where to find the most current version of our automation programs.
