4 Introduction Introduction The Spring 16 Release of Jobscience has arrived with new features, enhancements of existing features, and issue resolutions for all of our customers. Key Themes of this release were: Fewer Clicks More Power Better Results These first few sections provide an overview of the major features for All Customers, for Recruitment Agencies, and for In House Recruitment customers. The final two sections contain a summary of Issues Resolved with this release and Ideas Update. 4

5 For All Customers This section covers the new features and improvements we have made to the core of our product, features that impact all of our customers. Sourcing Center Sourcing Center is the new, revamped home of PowerSearch, Speed Review, and Short Lists. The theme of this release is Less Clicks, More Power, and Better Results. Sourcing Center represents these themes more than any other feature in the Spring Release. When we looked at the challenge of sourcing candidates for a specific Job or simply to build a pipeline, we realized that Jobscience had several tools that made this easier, but they were spread out across several tabs and in some cases several clicks deep. PowerSearch was one of those tools. It provided a list of ideal candidates and even let you place them into short lists or apply to a job, but to really use all the tools of Speed Review you had to go to the short list. We also found that not all of our tools applied equally to all of the sources you use on a regular basis. 5

6 Sourcing Center was conceived of as a single console that brings all of these tools together in one place, so reduce the number of clicks it takes to find candidates, compare them to each other as well as the ideal candidate, and to send them on to a specific job or a pipeline. Our Spring Release is just the beginning. We will be enhancing and extending this tool over the next few months with a goal of making this the best tool in the industry for sourcing candidates. Take a look at our video overview of Sourcing Center for an introduction to this powerful new tool and learn how to get started today. WalkMe Getting started with a new product or feature can be difficult at times. Wouldn t it be great if someone could just walk you through the steps so you could see how to use the new tools? That s just what WalkMe does. We have introduced this new tool for new customers of Jobscience to help make sense of our most important features, and put you on the path to productivity from the very beginning. 7 For Recruitment Agencies Our new features for staffing and recruitment agencies come together to provide a more flexible platform to fit your firm s unique business processes, extra business development functionality to scale and grow your business, and equip recruiters with simpler yet powerful tools to improve efficiency and make placements faster. Job Opportunities Measuring Sales Pipeline and Conversion Rate just got easier. Now you can convert your leads and opportunities into job orders with a click of a button. Because the opportunity and job order are tied together, you can better track important KPI s like your conversion rate. All you need to do is check your sales dashboard and you ll know your current conversion rate and what you have in the pipeline. For Example, ABC Company is your client and you need to place a new VP of Product. ABC Company has asked you to come give a pitch and maybe present a few example candidates. Did you win the deal; did they give you the job? How many of these opportunities are you winning with your clients? Does this sound like useful information to you? It should, it s an important KPI, especially if the majority of your firms business is Executive Search or Permanent Placement. You can find more details on the new Job Opportunity flow here. 7

8 VMS Connect The good news is you ve just won a new client for your contract business. The bad news is they are using yet another VMS. Maybe it s time you adopted our new Fyre integration tool. Here are just a couple of the vendor management systems we connect with: With Fyre, you can set up all of your VMS systems to seamlessly synchronize with Jobscience, creating job orders directly in our ATS while preserving the details of the original VMS requisition. Updates to the VMS system will update the Job Order as well, allowing firms to automate business processes and eliminate duplicate data entry. 8

9 Timesheets No more paper. No more busy work. Saving huge amounts of administration time. With Jobscience Timesheets, workers can enter their information online from anywhere so that you don t have to. A lot of customers have mentioned that they need a way to manage timesheets online across multiple projects, but didn t need all the bells and whistles or the cost of the more full featured products out there. So we are introducing our new timesheet solution for all of our Recruitment Agency customers. Our online Timesheet Portal allows clients or workers, which ever you prefer, to enter, view, edit and confirm Timesheet details. Save huge amounts of administration time, paper costs, faxes and manual input with an automated, integrated and own branded solution! Here s how it works: Once a placement is created, it is easy to create time sheets for each week of the placement. The worker simply logs in to the Job Portal online, enters their time against one or more projects using an optional charge number, and submits their sheets for approval. Once approved, profit and commission records are created based on allocations pulled from the Placement record. Finally an invoice can be generated directly and sent to the client for payment. You can check out short video of timesheets here. Future enhancements will include flexible overtime calculations and more flexible reporting periods. 9

10 For In House Recruitment Recruiting in the corporate world is full of unique challenges. We ve enhanced and extended our tools for in house recruitment to address these challenges. Our software enables you to automate the tedious, repetitive processes of applicant tracking, and enables you to focus on the human side of your business, working with the candidates and hiring managers. WordPress Plugin With almost 75 Million websites built on WordPress, it s no wonder that many companies turn to WordPress for their corporate site. Your web site is the first place candidates look for available jobs at your company. Our new WordPress plugin for Jobscience makes it easy to stand up a fully functional careers page on your existing WordPress site. Users can browse available jobs, register, upload their resume, and apply for one or more of the posted jobs. All in perfect sync with the Jobscience ATS. Our plugin uses RSS Feeds to simplify integration with the ATS backend. The setup enables you to bring in all the information you need to display on your site. Our Styling Page gives you control over layout and colors and even enables you to take complete control of CSS so you can style your job pages to match the rest of your site. So within hours you have added a completely integrated Careers Page into your existing WordPress site 11

12 Questionnaire Forms Jobscience s customizable Questionnaire Forms help you get all the details you need, during the application submission process so you can quickly determine the right candidates for your openings. Get to know the candidate, sooner! Recruiters frequently ask candidates to submit information that goes beyond a resume and contact information. For example, you might want to ask a set of questions to get a sense of the candidate s critical thinking skills or require a software engineer to submit a skills test. These detailed forms help you narrow the candidate pool more quickly and decrease the need to go back and forth with candidates for additional information. Allowing recruiters to gather more information prior to their first call or with the candidate will improve the candidate experience with reduced redundancy and increased recruiter productivity. Customize your questions. It's easy to create and customize our candidate questionnaire forms. Need to create multiple questionnaires, a different form for each opening? Not a problem. Our flexible candidate forms allow you to easily add more questions or modify existing ones. Sift through applications faster. Since all the information is captured in Jobscience, you can use our reports to filter through and find the candidates with the answers you re looking for. 12

13 Updates & Issues Resolved Updates and Issues Resolved A large number of issues were reported and resolved since our last major release, too many to list here in detail. Many of these were associated with actions taken against large numbers of contacts or candidates on short lists. Many were associated with international job boards, resume parsing, and geolocation. Still more were corner cases that were seen by only a few of our customers. We are highlighting a few of the most recent fixes that apply to a wide range of our users. Resume Power Resume Power has been integrated in to our SaaS Application so you no longer have to install a desktop app to easily import resumes into Jobscience. Our new version launches from within your Jobscience session as a separate browser window. You can drag and drop up to 50 resumes at a time into Jobscience, where they will be parsed and a detailed record saved in the Candidate database. You can continue working in Jobscience or any other app while your uploads continue. You can even start a new batch in a second tab. A continuous status update will tell you when they are ready for use. 13

14 Updates & Issues Resolved PowerSearch PowerSearch is now part of Sourcing Center, but we have continued to make improvements to this powerful tool. You can now use PowerSearch across more sources than Candidates and Contacts. You can search short lists, applicants, and even external job boards using the same user experience. We have added Autocomplete suggestions for all of the supported filters. This makes it easy to discover filters and to create an ideal candidate search on the fly. The columns displayed are now independent of the filters being used and are resizable. Don t care to view education history? Remove the column. Want a column for current employer? Just add that to the list. Your filter doesn t have to change. Column view has been added to make comparing candidates as easy as choosing a camera from an ecommerce site. Nice to Have Filters are now available complete with scoring and highlighting. While the other two filters eliminate candidates from the list, Nice to have filters enable you to create a scoring system to rank order the candidates that remain. Highlighting enables you to better see these differentiators when they appear in the various views. Our new List Filters enable you to user short lists as filter elements. You can exclude members of a list from search results, you can use a short list to boost the score of EEO and OFCCP candidates to proactively ensure their consideration, or you can combine lists to find the intersection of several short lists. We ve improved the support of Boolean search within PowerSearch. So if you are a Boolean search Ninja, you can get as precise as you want. We have also added a Boolean Search mode if you want to turn off power search jfactors and use Boolean exclusively. Geolocation Update We have switched to a new Geolocation service that will allow for improved population of latitude and longitude data using postal codes in EU countries. This new server is configured to recognize country names in their native language. 14

15 Updates & Issues Resolved We have also addressed an issue where optional spaces in Postal codes were preventing accurate processing. PDF Generation Update We switched to a new PDF Conversion service, which will improve the speed of converting other resume file types into PDFs. The updated API should improve overall functionality, and facilitate potential enhancements in the future. Resume Parsing Issues Resolved Issues related to the parsing service configuration were causing resumes to be parsed incorrectly. The text resume field was sometimes excluding chunks of text from the resume, and the skills were not being parsed. We fixed this configuration so that the text resume and skills would be parsed correctly. Multi-currency display on job board, job detail page When a field using a currency other than the default was used on the job board, the field would display both the selected currency and the converted default currency on the job listings page, but it would not show the converted default currency on the job detail page for the same field. We fixed this so that the job detail page would display both the selected and default currencies. s with non-english characters When sending a review through a shortlist and using an template with non-english characters, the characters would sometimes not come through and would all be replaced with a?. We fixed this so that non-english characters would display correctly in review s. Speed review launched from a short list When launching speed review from a short list, some customers were getting an error message caused by an unnecessary page redirect. We fixed this issue so that speed review will launch from short lists without throwing any errors. Refactored job order trigger The job order trigger configuration made it so that batch jobs could be run on behalf of site guest users. We refactored this trigger to prevent this from happening. 15

16 Ideas Update Ideas Update Our Ideas tab on the Help & Training Portal is your primary channel for suggesting improvements and enhancements to the Jobscience product. Our management team and Product management organization review this list regularly to hear the voice of our customers and understand the enhancements you believe will make our product better. Voting is a very important part of this process. It s not just about sharing your ideas, but also about adding your vote to the ideas of others. Once an idea gets enough votes, we give it priority in the product organization and either implement the idea as described, or look for other ways to address the problem within the development roadmap. Here are some of the notable ideas that made it in to this release: Drag and Drop Resume Parsing Search UI Enhancements Speed Review Enhancements Parsing of LinkedIn URL in resumes Time Cards Better Japanese Localization Ideas, which are expected in the next major release include: Associating a resume with Short List in the based parser CV Styler/Builder Forms Dependent Pick Lists Automatic Parsing of a resume attached to a Contact Record Communities opening in a new Tab/Window E-Verification Integration Enhanced Candidate Rejection UI Integrations with other products are an area that we care deeply about. The challenge is to prioritize the products that will make a difference for the largest number of customers. Whether it s e-verification services, Payroll Services, Accounting systems, or Resume Boards, if you are looking for us to support these integrations out of the box, then please let us know which integrations would make the biggest difference to you.
