2 2 Simply easier. Just better. We are improving our service for you with the help of a modern and uniform global business management system that will help us standardize and unify many processes. This in turn will make doing business with us even easier and more efficient. Our new system was introduced successfully in February 2016 in the German sites Neuss, Hilden, Kamen, Berlin and Kleinostheim. The specific changes it will bring are presented here in a clear and easy-to-understand way. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your 3M Customer Service Agent. 3 New Order Management 3 You have sent your order per , fax, telephone or via EDI. You will order by , EDI or through bcom, our new Service Portal (see page 8). We will transfer the EDI platform into the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator software. You will receive detailed information regarding this process in the coming months. All numbers will only have 10 digits. All products have an 11-digit number. Initially, to make things easier, both numbers will be shown on the new packing list and product labels: the old 11-digit number as well as the new 10-digit number. The agreed quantities and units and the payment terms have been noted on the order confirmation. No changes You have been able to order on the Service Portal or via the EOC. You will order via bcom (see page 8): it s easier, clearly structured and more efficient.

4 New Order Confirmation 4 Only minor changes: You have received your order confirmation from one of 3M s subsidiaries in Germany. You will receive your order confirmation (POA) per , fax, or directly from the EDI or bcom (see page 8). The new 10-digit product IDs will be used. If you have received the POA per postal mail, please send you address to your 3M customer service agent.

6 New Packing List Simply easier. Just better. Only minor changes: You have received your packing lists from one of 3M s subsidiaries in Germany. You will receive your packing list via , regular mail, or directly via EDI You will see both, the old 11-digit and new 10-digit product ID for the items you have ordered here. No further impacts for you are caused by this at this time. 6

7 New Invoice 7 You have received your invoices from one of 3M s subsidiaries in Germany. Only minor changes: The choice is yours: You can receive your invoices per , regular mail, e-invoice or directly via the EDI (simplest way: as a PDF file per ). Our PDF invoices will correspond to the normal PDF standard. A conversion to PDF/A1-a compatibility will be available during the year. For bank transfers, please indicate the 3M order number, which is clearly shown on the invoice. The new 10-digit product ID will be used. After a short transition period possible discounts will be shown as usual. For a short time system-related, slight rounding differences could occur. If so, these would be in the range of thousandth.

8 bcom 3M s Service Portal 8 bcom will be implemented step by step. It is a special service for our B2B customers. Up until now, you have been ordering online through our Service Portal or the EOC (Enterprise Order Center). The platform you have been using provides simple functions and is user friendly. Only a limited number of products and information. Search options are limited. Using your own product IDs requires manual data input. You will be ordering through our new bcom Service Portal. This means: small changes big advantages. Via our new online shop you will be able to order as well as to check your order status at any time. The highest level of user friendliness combined with a modern layout. The complete product catalog: with images, detailed descriptions, recommended usages and product recommendations. In the future: easy-to-use, improved search engine functions: look for products by simply entering a key word, product ID number, EAN or other product characteristics. You only need to enter your own product IDs once. It can then be changed and updated as needed.
