3 Professional Employment History Professional Datasolutions, Inc. Temple, Texas PDI is a 150+ employee software development and service company specializing in ERP software for convenience store chains. PDI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of McLane Co./ Berkshire Hathaway. VP of Operations ( ); VP of Product Development ( ); VP of Finance and Administration ( ); and VP of Marketing ( ) Member of executive management during growth from 70 to 160 employees and $6M to $30M in sales while generating consistent profits. Designed dozens and instructed hundreds of classroom-based customer and internal education courses on various topics including accounting, ERP/accounting software operation, and system administration. Selected and implemented various internal-use software platforms: ERP, CRM, HR, time and billing, and document imaging. Compiled detailed business requirements for the flagship ERP system, PDI/Enterprise. Introduced and implemented the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) quality control measurement system reducing the number of post-release defects. Created and executed a customer service program, A+ Customer Service; a ten step program taught to each new employee that contributed to significantly increased levels of customer service as measured by independent firms. Software Support Services, Inc. (SSSI) - Corvallis, Oregon SSSI produced the Advantage Energy System, a petroleum distribution and convenience store software package Vice President Support, Sales, and Marketing Launched an annual training seminar for hundreds of customers, increasing training revenue and training availability to nationwide customer base. Consolidated disparate dealer network into cohesive national sales organization. Created and implemented Service Quality Indicators (SQI s) and customer surveys to systematically and objectively measure customer service quality. Launched a comprehensive marketing campaign including product name and image change. Friendly Information Services, Inc. (FIS) - Rockford, Illinois (FIS) was an early 1980 s start-up company capitalizing on the emergence of personal computers and small business software. President, Principal Partner Bootstrapped $4000 initial investment to $1,000,000 in sales in three years. Consulted with portfolio of over 100 companies in dozens of states on office automation. Created and managed a public accounting service serving small businesses and individuals. We were among the first accounting services in the area to adopt personal computers and automated tax return software for increased efficiency and customer service.
