1 September 28, U.S. Visa- Acceptance Test Tools Suppliers Important Note: In January, EMVCo announced the availability of its new Level 3 Test Tool qualification testing service, initially in support of L3-compliant Card Simulators. With the availability of this new service, Visa is encouraging providers of these tools to seek qualification through the new EMVCo-provided service. Such qualification has become a prerequisite to supporting Visa s U.S. Quick Chip and Minimum Terminal Configuration ADVT and CDET test cases (including the U.S. test cases), that are being delivered to Test Tool providers in an EMV Level 3-specified machine readable format. The EMVCo Level 3 will also cover the U.S. test cases. Clients may visit the EMVCo website to view a list of current L3 Test Tool qualified by EMVCo. The link to the relevant page is as follows: For convenience, you may filter by Test Tool Providers Acceptance Device and identify EMVCo-qualified tools with a Focus of Contact & Contactless Level 3 - Card Simulator. EMV is a registered trademark in the U.S. and other countries and an unregistered trademark elsewhere. The EMV trademark is owned by EMVCo, LLC. While Visa has discontinued formal qualification (confirmation) specifically for Card Simulators supporting specific Visa U.S. requirements, the following table identifies providers whose Card Simulators were previously confirmed by Visa, as well as other Test Tools supporting specific Visa requirements. Updates since the last publication are shown in red. Refer to Global Visa Test Tools for globally supported requirements. Effective 1 March, use of CDET 2.2 will not be permitted. Users will be required to use the latest version of CDET 2.3. Effective 1 June, use of ADVT will not be permitted. Instead, users will be required to use the latest version of ADVT 7.0. U.S. Quick Chip and Minimum Terminal Configuration ADVT 7 / CDET 2.3 test cases which also covers the U.S. Debit, Credit and Fleet test cases should be used for any new orders.
