This powerful, easy-to-use software backs up the operating system and hard disk configuration of critical servers. This enables rapid recovery to an identical state following damage to or failure of the physical hardware or a corruption of the operating system. CBMR may be used on both physical and virtual machines. Virtualization can provide many advantages and CBMR can support these operations. For example virtual machines may be used to consolidate old servers running earlier software onto new hardware. CBMR can be used to migrate from the old hardware to the new virtual machine. To ensure business continuity, virtual servers need protecting in just the same way as physical ones. Should software corruption arise, CBMR can be used to recover the original operating system in a virtual environment.
