2 About Release Notes These Release Notes contain information about new Enterprise Reporting features added, enhancements made, and issues resolved in this product release. 3 Cognos Enterprise Reporting Overview Cognos Enterprise Reporting is a business intelligence tool that transforms data collected in RTS into usable information for business decision making and analysis. The Cognos Enterprise Reporting tool updates and refreshes most report data nightly to help generate reports with the most up-to-date data. Instead of running a correction report when an update is made to a transaction, the report containing the data can be run again to pick up the new or corrected information. The internal-use Cognos Reports shortcut icon displays on all RTS workstation desktops. Although you can click the icon and attempt to log into Cognos Enterprise Reporting, login will be successful only if you have the appropriate permissions to access and use it. Click the RTS Refactoring Help icon on your desktop to display the RTS Refactoring Resources page of the TAC Hub that contains materials for you to view, download, and print. By default, the page opens on the Training tab, which contains FAQs from the field and the training webinar materials presented for Enterprise Reporting (including the training guides, slide presentations, and recorded webinar sessions. The original Release Notes are also available. Click the Job Aids tab to locate important quick references to help you log in and work with Enterprise Reporting. 4 New Reports in Release Q4 This release contains two new reports: Monthly Vehicle Registrations and Hot Check Status Reports. Hot Check Status Report The Hot Check Status Report is now available to provide information about the hot checks collected in your county. On the report prompts page, you can select the month to check the status of when credit was taken for a hot check or when it was redeemed. Current Vehicle Registrations Report The Current Vehicle Registrations Report is now available to provide information about total statewide vehicle registration counts. On the report prompts page, you can select to run the report by Registration Plate code or the Registration Class code. Sample mockups of the reports are shown on the following pages. 7 Enhancements to Existing County Reports in Release Q4 In response to requests, several existing reports have been enhanced with new prompts, options, layout alignments, and so on. Note: As a reminder, the information and data available to you in Cognos Enterprise Reporting is based on your business area and the access permissions you have. The Administrative Ad-hoc Report has been updated to add the Ownership Evidence Code Description column and to provide access to the archive and inactive registration data. The Fee Collection and Distribution Report now provides the option for breaking down the funds distribution by Fee Types and providing subtotals for each type. The Funds Remittance Report has been updated to include all information (such as apprehensions) in the print out. The NMVTIS Inquiry Error Report has been updated to include the transaction date details. The Week To Date Fees and Month To Date Fees Reports have been updated to make the quantity totals match and to collect data corrected from the previous day/week (for example, when a clerk does not close out but a payment is recorded as collected for a transaction made on the previous day). The Active Current Registration Cube and Registration Transaction Cube have been updated to include the new legislative gross weight ratings. Enterprise Reporting Release Notes Release Q4 August 8,

8 Reporting Issues Resolved in Release Q4 The following Enterprise Reporting issues have been resolved in this release. Note: Some issue resolutions are described in the Enhancements section above. Issue RRTS RRTS Description There is a major difference between Legacy RTS report and Cognos on number of registered vehicles. Update reporting RCVD tables to resolve data gaps and duplicates. 9 Summary of Reporting Issues Not Yet Resolved The following Enterprise Reporting issues are currently under investigation. Note: Issues may have been reported by county, region, or headquarters users and may not apply to all POS users. Reports Accessed Through the POS RRTS RRTS The RTS.POS.5211 Payment Report does not page correctly.
