Manage your recalls and track their completion Create, manage, and maintain your recalls Integration / interaction between recalls and warranty claims Analyze your recall status and costs Own claim type Recall can be used to describe certain cases (incl. validity, defective part, relevant objects, allowed material / labor values, ) Add or exclude objects (equipment or vehicles) from your recall Claims can be connected to a recall Link between claim and recall can be checked (validity of object, time frame, items on claim ) Objects of the recall are automatically updated when the claim is processed Statistics on recalls can be easily displayed Values like actual costs of recalls or estimated costs as well as the completion rate are directly integrated in the recall and can be extracted to various reports 5

Recalls, recall objects and claims Recall A recall claim is created to describe a concrete recall case. This claim holds the information on validity, defective parts, affected objects (vehicles or equipment) and which steps need to be done (labor values, materials to be changed) For each object a distinct warranty claim will be created Each warranty claim handles a specific recall object. With the automatic claim processing, recall objects are automatically updated. The warranty claim will be checked if the respective recall does apply (in terms of validity, maintained values, ) OC OC OC OC IV IV IV IV IC IC IC IC OV OV OV OV Recall - Object 1 - Object 2 - Object 3 6

Recall functionality Recalls have an own claim type with an own action matrix Via the status concept recalls can be released, marked as overdue All relevant data can be maintained at one central point 8

Recall functionality All items that are relevant for a recall (materials to be changed, labor values for the repair, other items (e.g. mileage costs) can be maintained on the recall If different variants for the recall are possible, those variants can all be maintained on the recall 9

Recalls functionality (Objects of a recall) All relevant objects of a recall can be easily added via ALV grid, search transaction or uploaded via Excel file Objects can easily be excluded from a recall or included again 10

Claims functionality A connection between a warranty claim and a recall can be maintained. Once the link is established, the warranty claim is checked if the claim data is valid for the recall and if one repair variant applies for the positions of the claim The VSR framework checks against the recall data and stops a claim if the maintained information on the claim (positions, timeframe, ) differs from the demanded values of the recall 11

Analysis on recalls All Objects related to a claim posted in FI will update the current and estimated recall costs in the Recall Overview section Each object can be tracked, how the current object status is. Processing a claim (e.g. posting in FI) automatically updates the object status in the respective recall 12
