5 VAT Consultation Value Added Tax was introduced in January 2018 at a rate of 5%, it has an impact on individuals and businesses. Value Added Tax is an indirect tax. It is imposed on most supplies of goods and services that are bought and sold. VAT is charged at each step of the supply chain.
