3 Click Background to edit Master title style Deltaport terminal: largest multi-modal container facility in Western Canada Each day, thousands of commercial and passenger vehicles travel on the Deltaport causeway On average, 2500 commercial vehicles are processed at Deltaport Aggregated truck turn times range from 35 minutes to over 1 hour Delays were often caused by manual processing of commercial vehicles Clearance process for the Deltaport container terminal consisted of a manual security check of the driver s Transportation Security Clearance (TSC) or Port Pass

13 Click Concept to edit of Operations Master title style The VACS controls entry into Port property for all vehicles VACS entrance point contains: Short term truck queuing area Primary gates, where approaching vehicles are stopped and processed Secondary gate, which controls access to terminal and directs noncompliant vehicles to the U-Turn rejection lane For a vehicle to gain access, driver must present a valid Port Pass to the card reader. Commercial vehicles must also enter a valid reservation code Enable automated terminal reservation slot authentication and automated release of vehicles from staging areas
