UTC Aerospace Systems provides products and systems that employ and assist the warfighter through the ISR process: Direction: management of resources and processes to deliver actionable information and intelligence to decision makers. Collection: gathering data to support answering questions. Processing: analysis and exploitation of collected sensor data to derive actionable information and intelligence. Dissemination: delivery of the information and intelligence to appropriate decision makers and end-users.

Speed and accuracy of reconnaissance and surveillance operations is vital to ensuring effective and timely command decisions. These qualities are fundamental in the design and deployment of the intelligence gathering and data management in our core ground station product. The ISR Systems Intelligence Exploitation systems were developed to stringent military and civilian standards and extensively fieldtested. Systems using the UTC Aerospace Systems Exploitation suite (MERLIN) are currently in use by a number of NATO and International Forces with additional deliveries to global customers due in the near future. All ground stations have a core set of tools to manage exploitation requirements especially when the systems are geographically separated: Tasking Data availability Communications Customised to customer requirements. UTC Aerospace Systems core technologies include: Georeferencing System security Networking Collaborative working Mapping using open GIS standards Databases; image display; data formats ISR architectures Intelligence Reference Library (IRL) The Goodrich ISR Systems Intelligence Reference Library (IRL) provides a networkcentric cataloging solution for information management and dissemination. The IRL enables the storage, search and retrieval of multi-intelligence primary data (IMINT, ELINT, SIGINT, etc.) and secondary intelligence products (imagery, mapping, reports, etc.) The IRL enables the search of very high volumes of primary and secondary data in geographically distributed databases the demander only pulls selected search returns. Key to the operation of the IRL is compliance with NATO STANAG 4559 for the Coalition Shared Data server (CSD). The ISR Systems Intelligence Reference Library ensures the latest available information can be retrieved by tactical or strategic users. DACAR Airborne Intelligence Reference Library The UTC Aerospace Systems DACAR is the Airborne Server for a Network-Enabled, Imagery On-Demand ISR system. Aircraft pod mounted, the DACAR is the answer to the ISR industry need for more persistent surveillance, where the data is still available for exploitation in real-time, but over lower-bandwidth links. DACAR can store a variety of sensor data in its STANAG 4559 and NATO CSD compliant Intelligence Reference Library, and then only transmits it on an as-needed basis using bandwidth-efficient techniques. DACAR makes the stored data available to a network over standard Ethernet interfaces, which can be connected to various ground exploitation systems via a satellite communications link, for example.

We deliver more than just ISR products; we can supply a customized logistics support package tailored exactly to your requirements, from concept through disposal, taking into consideration factors such as obsolescence and risk factors. As part of our through-life integrated logistics support, ISR Systems offers various levels of field-service engineering support ranging from telephone assistance to onsite contractor logistics support (CLS) located at customer facilities. Our support package can also include customized training of customer personnel, and technical publications for full system operation and maintenance. ISR Systems supports all stages of the CADMID cycle: Concept: UTC Aerospace Systems understands CONOPS and helps the customer define their requirements. Assessment: we assess and identify an acceptable balance of time, cost and performance for programs. Demonstrate: as proven during Trial Falcon Prowl (JUEP), ISR Systems can undertake progressive reduction of development risk; meets performance targets.
