Resource tech visionaries

We are Previso. Resource tech visionaries. Vision We believe technology can help build a more efficient and less unpredictable world. The old resource-demand prediction models are broken, slow and expensive. We know, we ve been working in this industry for decades. So we built a new kind of software engine which allows you to model multiple scenarios in minutes, not hours. The insights you will gather from this technology will save time, money and resources. We re going to revolutionise the way resources are managed, to give you more nimble scenario modelling and resource management.

Previso is a gas forecasting software package that can model the whole integrated extraction, production and distribution system from multiple reservoirs, wells, subsea pipelines, compressors, separators to the market. It very quickly and accurately history matches and forecasts production profiles and manage subsurface uncertainty quantification by generating vast numbers of scenarios required for short, medium and long-term production planning. The Product Market Driven Solution Specify different types of market, e.g. pipeline gas, LNG, LPG, condensate, energy CO 2 and allocate products or compositions to the different markets via ranking and priorities. Gas components are tracked and production is allocated focusing on meeting a gas specification or market constraint. Truly Integrated One software package that can model gas production from reservoir to market, a single platform solution. Robust and Extremely Fast Algorithm The solution is generated in minutes, not hours, this software is specifically designed for gas planning and decision making.

Our Approach What is unique about our approach is that the forecast is market-driven and production honours market constraints. Production is tracked on a component by component basis and backallocated through the elements of the network, processing plants, pipelines, compressors, wells and finally to each reservoir. Gas production can be constrained, and hydrocarbon liquids production optimised based on multiple and complex market demands. The production constraints, prioritisation, scheduling and event triggering can be as complex as required, such as specifying a minimum, maximum or a specific range of any product stream demand, such as the mole fraction of any gas component or combination of gas components. 5 Robust and Extremely Fast Algorithm The key strengths of the software are its stability and speed of calculation. We have designed and implemented a robust and extremely fast algorithm that does not make simplifications. Complex production systems with many wells and reservoirs can be solved in minutes rather than hours. The software is completely integrated with no external interfaces with other software packages required. All aspects of the gathering system are modelled directly within PREVISO. The speed and stability of calculation facilitates our Scenario Manager module that is used to generate and run a number of scenarios, which are versions of the base case model. One or more input parameters can be modified to evaluate the impact of a node on the entire system such as changes in market demand, pressure constraints, event triggers and priorities.

Probabilistic Scenario Modelling Users define scenarios by applying a probabilistic density function (PDF) to most input parameters. PREVISO uses Sobol sampling to generate a specified number of scenarios based on the applied PDF. This mode is used to perform a probabilistic analysis on the base model which is useful to evaluate the influence of parameter uncertainty on the overall deliverability of the system and obtain a probabilistic estimate (e.g. P10, P50, and P90) on the overall production recovery.

Advanced Reporting Tools and Plots Results can be viewed as reports or as plots with a series of simple and intuitive templates. Filters can be applied to meet the specific requirements of the customer and data exported in popular formats. Plots show high resolution results graphically; these plots are suitable for export into reports or direct printing.

Technical Data PREVISO s algorithms and software implementation have a long history of use by some of the world's leading LNG and gas companies. Our network solving algorithm is proprietary and unique. We use novel numerical techniques and efficient coding to deliver results that honour all network constraints at each timestep and always converge. Our algorithm doesn t take short-cuts and we don t have numerical stability issues. We combine our numerical algorithms with industry standard correlations (with the ability to add new ones).
