1 WARNING ACTION REQUIRED: VERIFONE WILL END OF LIFE YOUR CURRENT ELAVON PLATFORM USED WITH YOUR INTEGRATED CREDIT CARD MODULE EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 31, 2017 This requires action from you to ensure your store(s) can process credit cards using your Point of Rental Software integrated credit card module after October 31st, What is happening? As you recall, the credit card issuers required all merchants to change to the secured EMV cards in October As part of that process, VeriFone will shut down their non-emv compliant gateway on October 31, So, what effect does that have on me? According to our records, you are still using the non-emv gateway. Before October 2017 you will have to switch to an EMV compliant gateway or you will not be able to accept credit cards. What are my options? To maintain your ability to use the integrated credit card module after October 31 st, 2017 you need to choose one of two options. 1. Who is CAYAN and how do they differ from Verifone PAYware Connect? CAYAN and PAYware Connect are credit card gateways that allow programs such as Point of Rental Software to send credit card authorizations, refunds and settlement requests. Gateways also provide customer service and development enhancments such as EMV acceptance. We have partnered with CAYAN because of their superior support and development that gets passed on to our customers.

5 CAYAN Monthly Pricing Point of Rental Software integrates with CAYAN s Payment Gateway Services (PGS) just like with VeriFone PAYware Connect. Gateway fees are about the same with CAYAN having an additional $0.05/transaction but without the $15 base store charge per month. Currently, VeriFone PAYware Connect charges $15/store/mo. + $34/device/mo. for device leases and $15/store/mo. + $17/device/mo. if you purchased your devices. pg. 5

6 CAYAN's VeriFone MX915 Buyback Program Did you purchase your current VeriFone MX915 device(s)? CAYAN can swap them out with their Genius devices for $59/device. They can ship the Genius devices and once Point-of-Rental Software s support team facilitates the CAYAN integration upgrade, you return the old VeriFone devices to CAYAN via a call tag they supply. CAYAN s VeriFone MX915 swap out program is only available to new CAYAN customers. Unless you have other plans for your purchased VeriFone MX915 devices you should consider CAYAN s Buy Back program. Inform them you are interested when you discuss the pricing options. CAYAN Integration Refund Policy CAYAN does NOT support manually entered refunds. Ideally, a refund RETRIEVAL is performed using the token from the original charge. This will likely be the primary method for most refunds. Credit card refunds can also be swiped. Again, CAYAN does not allow manually entering a credit card number for refunds as they see it as a vulnerability for fraud. This way no one can arbitrarily perform a manual entered refund. Refunds through CAYAN are performed on a per transaction basis, not total contract value. For example, if you have a contract value of and you make a payment of and one of 40.00, if the contract is due a refund of or more you must do it in more than one refund as the highest amount taken in a single transaction is only pg. 6
