Transactional vs. Time-Series Data Transactional Data Set of data in a data-processing area in which the incidence of the data is essentially random and unpredictable; hours worked, quantities shipped, and amounts invoiced are examples from, respectively, the areas of payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
