1 MedicalDirector Blue Chip supports multiple EFTPOS Terminals. In order to use the TYRO EFTPOS Terminal you will be required to reconnect and configure your Terminal for each workstation. Please follow the simple instructions below Health Communication Network Limited

2 Instructions for the Yomani Terminal 1: Within MedicalDirector Blue Chip 1.1. Select Setup > Practice > EFTPOS AUTO/Medicare Easyclaim. The EFTPOS AUTO /Medicare Easyclaim Setup window appears Tick the Activate EFTPOS/Medicare Easyclaim Integration check box Click The EFTPOS Terminal Connection window appears. Proceed now to Step 2.1 2: From the Terminal Connection Window 2.1. Click The Connect this PC to an EFTPOS Terminal window appears Enter your Merchant ID as supplied by TYRO (Menu > Merchant Information > Merchant Name, Mid & Tid). If your practice has multiple merchants/practitioners, you only need to enter the first Merchant ID; the system will automatically connect all other merchants. Enter the Terminal ID for the EFTPOS Terminal connected to your computer network. The Terminal Information is supplied by TYRO, and is accessible via the EFPTOS Terminal by selecting Menu > Merchant Information Merchant Name, Mid & Tid on the Device (each EFTPOS Terminal connected to your network has a unique ID) Health Communication Network Limited 2

4 2: From the Terminal Connection Window 2.1. Click The Connect PC to an EFTPOS Terminal window appears Enter your Merchant ID as supplied by TYRO (Menu > Settings > Terminal info on the Device). If your practice has multiple merchants/practitioners, you only need to enter the first Merchant ID; the system will automatically connect all other merchants. Enter the Terminal ID for the EFTPOS Terminal connected to your computer network. The Terminal Information is supplied by TYRO, and is accessible via the EFPTOS Terminal by selecting Settings > Terminal Info on the Device (each EFTPOS Terminal connected to your network has a unique ID) Create and enter a Terminal Name for the EFTPOS Terminal. This is usually something that identifies the EFTPOS Terminal from others (i.e. Front Desk). It is advisable to create a unique name for each of your EFTPOS Terminals (Optional) Tick the Default Terminal check box to indicate that this particular EFTPOS terminal will be the default used for processing EFTPOS receipts on this computer. This is particularly handy if you have multiple EFTPOS terminals at your practice. This setting can be changed later if required. Ancillary Information Before clicking, it is recommended that you perform the following steps in preparation for connection. 1. On the EFTPOS terminal, select Menu > Settings > Authorise POS. You will be prompted to enter a password (this is your ADMIN Password). 2. The terminal will ask if you want to Reset Key. Before answering, click on the computer first. 3. If you have not yet paired any other computers to the Terminal answer Yes to Reset Key question on the terminal, otherwise answer No. You will be returned to the Terminal Connection Window. 4. Click OK on the EFTPOS Device. The device will return to the default Swipe Card screen. 5. In the Terminal Pairing window, select the newly paired terminal and click Test Connection. A window advising the status of the terminal will appear. 6. Close the EFTPOS device connection window Health Communication Network Limited 4

5 7. Select the Setup Merchant IDs Tab. 8. You will be required to add the Merchant IDs for each Bank Account. This information can be obtained from the TYRO Terminal Printout by selecting Menu > Settings > Terminal info on the Device. Click the OK button when complete. Additional Information regarding Proxy Server Setup; o Direct connection to the Internet is applicable to anyone who does not use a proxy server o Auto-detect proxy settings for this network retrieves the proxy details from the Windows Internet Options. This is the default setting. o Manual Proxy configuration is for users who wish to specify a proxy server. Selecting this option requires the entry of a proxy address and pot. To simplify proxies requiring password authentication, Tyro automatically uses the user s Microsoft Windows login and password.
