2 SOLUTION DESCRIPTION SOLUTION DESCRIPTION This digital solution aims to optimize the water distribution network. The Solution caters to two main roles in a utility organization 1. Head of Operations / In-charge of supply 2. Field Engineer From the Head of Operations perspective, the solution offers a visual representation of the pipeline network on a geographical map. Sensors placed on the pipeline are also shown and in case of a breach, there is a real time signal sent to the dashboard. Not only does it allow real time detection but it also points out the exact location. One click Work Order (WO) creation further simplifies and expedites the asset maintenance. With respect to the Field Engineer, there is automated notification with the WO details that is sent on his / her mobile. The app can also be navigated using voice commands. In addition, the field engineer while attending the WO can simply click a picture of a part and send the request to get related details like its material number, inventory details etc.

3 STAKEHOLDER QUOTE QUOTE FROM STAKEHOLDER One of the principal concerns today for the deteriorating quality of water supply is the high levels of nonrevenue water (NRW) viz. the difference between the amount of water put / pumped into the distribution system and the amount of water billed to consumers (Suppliers /end customers). High levels of nonrevenue water result from huge volumes of water lost through leaks or water not invoiced to customers or both, and this seriously affects financial viability of water providers. Water industry has been bleeding because of revenue loss due to water leakage from pipeline. Reducing nonrevenue water and maintaining it at target levels is hence an important task for any service provider looking to improve upon the quality of service, financial soundness, and creditworthiness. The approach to reducing NRW includes a set of activities aimed at the optimization of water supply through improved operations, maintenance, and sound management practices of distribution networks as well as governance and management reforms through specific operational and commercial strategies. With this digital solution, Wipro aims to detect / identify the leakages in real time thereby minimize the monetary loss by 15-20%. Moreover it assists in expediting the maintenance activity which shall further reduce the losses.
