2 The construction industry has made enormous safety improvements in recent years but still has a significant opportunity to make our high-hazard industry safer still and to drive down the alarming rates of ill health linked to construction work sees the third version of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations; (CDM), with important changes to the requirements for managing safety and health related risk on a project, especially at the pre-construction phase. Specific content at the event will include: CDM 2015 Key changes to the law and why it has been revised. The importance of clients duties for influencing safety on a project and the introduction of a new legal appointment; the Principal Designer. The inclusion of Domestic Projects within the regulations and why this was needed. Changes to requirements for project notification and Construction Phase Plans.
