1 Timesheets The job aid describes the process for running and printing timesheets either for a department, an employee, or as blank. This report may be run at any time for a limited selection of pay periods. The Office of Human Resources recommends timesheets are printed after 7:00am the first Tuesday of a pay period. This will ensure leave recorded and accrued through the end of the last pay period is reflected in the employee s leave balance on the timesheet. 1. Log into OMNI and OBI Reporting, and under Dashboards, select the Timesheets Report from the HR Reports menu. 2. Run Timesheets for a Department, select your department, pay end, and employees to print. 3. Print the timesheets on the template of choice. 4. Run and Print Timesheet for an Employee (or a Blank Timesheet). 5. If using IE as your browser, Compatibility Mode must be turned off. OMNI Portal > OBI Reporting > HR Reports > Timesheets Printing Timesheets for a Department Begin by logging into OMNI and selecting OBI Reporting and under Dashboards choose Timesheets from the HR Reports. 2 Select the appropriate values for Departments, Pay Period End Date, In-Out Required, Employees to Print, Sort By, and click. You MUST make selection(s) for any field marked with an asterisk (*). You can select the department or departments for which you want to review timesheets for active employees by clicking and entering a for the selected department(s). Or you can select your department(s) by clicking on More/Search. Page 2

3 Then, from the department criteria Select Values window, select the department or departments for which you want to review time sheets for active employees. Begin searching by changing the Name to contains and then type your department number or department name and click. Individually select departments by double clicking or highlighting the row and click on > Move button. Then click OK. The Pay Period End Date defaults to the current pay period, but you can select a different date from the drop-down. The In-Out Required defaults to include both exempt and non-exempt employee, but can be changed if required. You must make a selection under the Employees to Print criteria. Please check all column values or the select the specific employee groups. Specify your desired sort By order. Page 3

4 When all search information is entered, click To review the report, select the adobe reader down arrow to select either a PDF or RTF view. The timesheets will open in a window either at the bottom of the screen or a new document. Tip! Notice the count of timesheets in the upper right-hand corner of the report. This is the Page 4

5 number of timesheets that will print based upon your selection criteria above. To print the timesheets left click to open a window that gives you the option to print. Tip! Use the Find option to search for a particular employee by name, Employee ID, etc. Enter the search criteria and then press enter. Printing an Individual Timesheet Select the Timesheet for an Employee tab at the top of the report. For a single employee, enter the Empl ID, select the Empl Rcd (or use All) and the Pay Period End Date. Click "Apply". Page 5

6 Then choose Template "1) Timesheet for Employee" and click the "View Report" icon. Click "View Report" and choose either the PDF or RTF (Word) option. To print the timesheets left click to open a window that gives you the option to print. Printing a Blank Timesheet: For a Blank (Empty) Timesheet, simply select the Blank Timesheet Template. Scroll down to view the Blank in/out sheet. Page 6
