2 Operating agency for: SCHUYLKILL TECHNOLOGY CENTER SOUTH CAMPUS Invitation to Bid SALE OF SURPLUS CTC PROGRAM EQUIPMENT Schuylkill Technology Center (operated by the Schuylkill IU 29) invites sealed bids for the purchase of surplus CTC program equipment. Bids must he submitted in a sealed envelope and will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. on September 29, 2015 at the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 Office located at the address listed above, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read. No bid will be considered unless it is submitted with the Bid Form and Bidder Agreement provided by the SIU. A listing of available equipment is included and can be accessed on the school s website at Inspections of the equipment can be scheduled by contacting the George Berzowski at (570) or John Nabholz at (570) The sale of the equipment and all bids will be subject to Conditions of Sale, which are included or available on the School s website. Bids will be awarded at the October 5, 2015 Board Meeting. The Conditions of Sale referenced in this paragraph will constitute a legally binding contract between the SIU/STC and the selected bidder once the SIU notifies the bidder that the bid has been accepted. All sold equipment must be removed from the District no later than 4:00pm on October 16, The SIU/STC Board of Directors reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any reason or for no reason at all, and to waive any irregularities, mistakes, omissions, or informalities related to the bidding process provided such waiver complies with applicable law. 3 Terms and Conditions of Sale ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD AS IS WITH NO GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND 1.0 Viewing of Used Equipment Viewing of the equipment can be scheduled by contacting the George Berzowski at (570) or John Nabholz at (570) The equipment is located at the Schuylkill Technology Center South Campus, 15 Maple Avenue, Mar Lin, PA Bid Form All bids must be submitted on the bid form included in this packet, one bid item per form. Name, address, phone number, and signature of the bidder must be completed in ink. The bid price must be written in the box corresponding with the bid item number and sealed in an envelope, plainly marked Sealed Bid for Surplus Equipment, attention: Dr. Diane Niederriter. Mailed or hand-delivered to: Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29, 15 Maple Avenue, PO Box 130, Mar Lin, PA Payment Payment will be made at time of pick up. Cash, a cashier s check, or money order made payable to the Schuylkill Technology Center will be the only terms of payment. 4.0 Bid Acceptance Bids will be accepted at the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29, 15 Maple Ave, PO Box 130, Mar Lin, Pa Bids will be opened Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at 10:00A.M. in the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 board room. 5.0 Determination Determination of the winning bid will be based on the highest reliable bidder. The school board reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any reason or for no reason at all, and to waive any irregularities, mistakes, omissions, or informalities related to the bidding process provided such waiver complies with applicable law. 6.0 Equipment Pick Up Equipment must be picked up by 4:00 P.M. on October 16, Any equipment that is not picked up by that time will be disposed of at the discretion of the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29. Please contact John Nabholz at (570) ext 1220 to schedule pick-up time. 7.0 Release of Equipment Equipment will be released with a signed receipt by John Nabholz, Facilities Manager, Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29.

All costs associated with removal/pick up of the item(s) are the responsibility of the new owner. I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE EQUIPMENT IS BEING SOLD AS-IS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. I WILL BE FULLY REPONSIBLE FOR ALL REQUIRED INSURANCE AND MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS UPON TAKING POSSESSION OF THE EQUIPMENT. I AGREE TO HOLD SCHUYLKILL INTERMEDIATE UNIT 29 & SCHUYLKILL TECHNOLOGY CENTER, ITS OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES, HARMLESS FROM ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM ITS OPERATION, MAINTENANCE, AND/OR RESALE.
