4 ScanWorkX 2012 Transaction Descriptions Standard ScanWorkX transactions allow you to perform the most common Microsoft Dynamics AX actions from nearly any mobile device. Taking it a step further, a single transaction may include as many as 10 separate functions. The ScanWorkX PO Arrival transaction, for example, creates an arrival journal, registers inventory, posts packing slips, generates batch/serial numbers, supports automatic/manual quarantine, creates pallet transports, supports cross-dock receiving, and offers directed put-away, just to name a few. One transaction, many functions. Use only the ones you need, turn off the ones you don t, and not one customization required. Receiving/Arrival Receiving Purchase Order Arrival Receive inbound shipments using a purchase order number. Automatic and Manual Quarantine support using the Item Arrival Journal. Production Pick List Reversal Create a production picking list journal that reverses a partial or full quantity that has been picked on a picking list journal. The journal is automatically posted. Tracking dimensions supported. Production Route Card Process route card consumption using the Route Card Journal. Report hours and quantity for operations, and calculate percentages which drive scheduling. Production Job Card Process work center consumption using the Job Card Journal. Item is displayed for the warehouse, with the ability to drill down using additional item, tracking and storage dimensions. Optionally print an item label or an item/dimension label. Location Inquiry with Label Print Display all items stored in a location within the user's default warehouse. Drill down using additional item, tracking, and storage dimensions. Optionally print an item label or an item/dimension label. Physical and available balances are displayed. Movement Journal with Account Support for the Inventory Movement Journal. Both Negative and Postive adjustments to inventory using an offset account. Inventory Adjustment Process positive and negative adjustments to inventory using the item's posting profile. Transaction Inquiry Review transactions performed by the user logged in. Option to filter by transaction name. Transfer Journal Supports the Inventory Management Transfer Journal functionality. This transaction can be configured to do transfers within a site, moves within a single warehouse, or dimension reclassifications. Look up all locations where on-hand inventory for the item being transferred is currently stored. Location Transfer Moves entire inventory from one location to new location On-Demand Count Create lines in a count journal by scanning Item/Storage dimensions that are physically stored in the user's default warehouse. The journal can be posted using the scan gun. Quarantine Order Creation Create a new quarantine order for an item in a stocking location. Optionally prints a Quarantine Order Label. 7 ScanWorkX 2012 Transaction Descriptions Advanced Warehouse Management Warehouse Management Directed Count Update physical inventory counts into an existing count journal. Add new lines automatically for items already in the journal, but with unexpected dimensions. Option to count by location type. Unlimited counters can access the same count journal and be dynamically directed through the warehouse using current warehouse location and the Dynamics AX location sort code. The journal is not posted using the scan gun. Pallet Inquiry with Label Print Drill down to Item/Tracking/Storage dimension information for a pallet. Optionally print a pallet contents label. Pallet Move The pallet move transaction allows an entire pallet to be moved from one location to another location. All inventory on the pallet, included reservations, are moved into the new location. Staged pallets may be moved between outbound docks. Pallet Split Split or consolidate pallets using the transfer journal. Option to create a new pallet provided. Pallet Transport Process Input, Output, and Refill Transports generated in Dynamics AX. Transport priority and shipment filters are supported. Picking/Shipping Shipping Pick (Order, Consolidated, Directed) This transaction will pick and deliver Sales, Transfer, and Production orders. Both "Order Picking" and "Consolidated Picking" shipments are supported. Picking pallet support, including a license plate label, is provided for all shipments and is optional. Directed picking by location and pick by item is supported using configuration settings. Item consolidation for all quantities on a route. Check text support is used if defined in Dynamics AX. Complete integration to Dynamics AX WMS. Supports paperless picking and shipment reservations. Order Pack/Unpack Pack picked lines into cartons by order number. Carton number is assigned. Carton header and detail information is stored in customer Dynamics AX tables. This information is available for updating carrier transaction tables in Dynamics AX. 8 ScanWorkX 2012 Transaction Descriptions Shipment Staging Dynamics AX must be configured to stage a shipment on the outbound rule id to use this transaction. Picking pallets will be staged after being picked. Product may be moved from one pallet to another, from a pallet to the floor, or unpicked. When staging is complete the shipment can be loaded in Dynamics AX. The picking pallet is printed on the shipment list. Load Shipment Load staged pallets onto the truck. Unload pallets from truck back to staging. Each pallet scan will execute the shipment staging load pallet function. A list of values will display all pallets and the outbound dock where they are staged. All pallets must be scanned before the entire shipment is marked as loaded so no pallet is left on dock. Updates each pallet in Dynamics AX as it is scanned. Ship Order Post a sales order packing slip, change the shipment status of sales and transfer orders to Shipped. Administrative Transactions Administration Employee Inquiry Look up of the employee data including status (online/offline), last warehouse location, last transaction time, transactions completed today and emergency contact information. Mobile Messaging (Handheld to handheld) Allows handheld users to send messages between ScanWorkX users. Users can always receive messages from the management console without this transaction. Change Printer Allows a user to change the printer on their user profile or to temporarily override all labels they print to output to a specific printer. Change Password Allows a user to change the password on their user profile. Change Warehouse Allows a user to change the working warehouse on their user profile or to temporarily work from another warehouse without modifying their profile.
