The Solution Data Quality and Agile Process Management 5 Assess Use Blazent to assess the quality of your asset data and TIPA to assess Asset Management, Configuration Management and Data Quality Management processes. Control Correct data quality defects at the source and re-assess processes to correct root cause of data defects Design Use TIPA to design improvements to data quality AND to the processes that supply the data Adopt Implement improvements to data quality rules and process execution. Improve Use Blazent to perform periodic Inventory Analysis and Operational Compliance reporting

The Blazent Golden Record MULTI-SOURCE RECONCILIATION IDENTIFY CRITICAL CONFLICTS SELECT BEST DATA APPLY LOGIC NORMALIZE DATA Blazent looks at several sources to build the golden record. The engine knows how to read and recognize various record formats. Allows client to identify and focus on problem areas Source Billing CMDB AD SCCM Backup Asset Name FDC200 FDC200 Serial Number KCC8H1 KCC8H1 KCC3H1 KCC8H1 Machine Type Physical Server Server Virtual Server Virtual Virtual Server Server Last Activity Date 1/28/2011 9/8/2010 4/8/2012 3/21/2012 Spreadsheet FDC200 KCC8H1 Server 7/13/2010 Asset Status Billable Deployed Discovered OS Name Unknown Microsoft Windows 2003 Microsoft Windows 2003 SP2 Microsoft Windows Windows 2003 Server 2003 Server Standard Standard Microsoft Win2KB Identify missing data sources Gold FDC200 KCC3H1 Virtual Server 4/8/2012 Billable Microsoft Windows 2003 Server Standard

Complete Visibility 13 The Blazent Analytics platform provides visibility into 4 main areas: - Baseline Inventory - Operational Efficiency - Data Quality - Billing/Chargeback

Inventory Analysis Book to Floor 14 The Book to Floor Audit compares assets in the Primary Asset Repository to multiple electronic sources. This audit verifies the Asset Repository as well as identifying assets that were not found on the network as expected.

Inventory Analysis Floor to Book 15 The Floor to Book Audit compares assets in multiple electronic sources to the Primary Asset Repository. This audit identifies assets that were found on the network but not listed in the Asset Repository. It also identifies assets found active on the network but marked inactive in the Asset Repository.

Operational Compliance Backup Coverage 16 The Operational Audits measure the deployment levels of various electronic tools in the environment. This example shows the analysis of multiple Backup tools across the server environment showing servers that have been backed up and the dates of the last successful backup.

Results Solve Problems and Reduce Costs 17» Problems Solved» 30% exposure in antivirus coverage identified and remediated in less than 2 weeks» Identified missing backup for 10% of mid-range servers supporting Tier 1 services» Provided the detailed reporting to pass regulatory audits for Global 50 Financial Co» Identified $1.5M in overbilling from IT outsourcing service providers» Reduced 5,000 hours of labor by automating one IT asset management audit» Costs Reduced» Reduced end user footprint by 15% by identifying unused or underutilized devices» $7M decrease in annual hardware maintenance for servers with wrong support level» Avoided a $500K lease return penalty» $1.2M annual labor reduction through automation of audit reporting» Eliminated the need for a $1M manual wall-to-wall inventory
