ADDENDUM NO. 03 PROJECT CITY OF TORONTO CASA LOMA - Phase 9 PERIMETER WALL RESTORATION 1 Austin Terrace Toronto, Ontario TENDER CALL NO August 29, 2017 This Addendum shall be attached to and form an integral part of the Contract Documents. The Contents of this Addendum shall be brought to the attention of and read by all concerned. Receipt of this Addendum shall be acknowledged on the Bid Form. The Bid and Contract Documents are hereby amended as follows: 1.0 Tender Document Clarifications Bidders Questions 1.1 Question: Structural drawing detail 2/S301 Typical repair, top of pier foundation, allow for 8 locations total. Please advise are all 8 locations included in base bid? ANSWER: Yes. 1.2 Question: Could you please advise who is responsible for prune trees as listed in Appendix IV? The contractor or the Arborist? ANSWER: Pruning will be by the Certified Arborist; appropriate amount of time must be provided by the Contractor prior to construction work commencing which will impact trees (4 days minimum). 1.3 Question: Structural drawing 2/S302 indicating applicable to buttress at F52 & P05, we could not find P05, please advise. ANSWER: Location of P05 shown on Drawing S201, 1/S201 Key Plan. Location of existing concrete over pour to be removed at P05 is approximately 3 east of P05. Refer to attached photo Photo 01 P05 north side looking east. 2 of 15

ADDENDUM NO Question: Structural drawing 3/S302 indicating see 5/S301 for location, but 5/S301 is not available, please advise. ANSWER: Reference 5/S301 to be deleted and replaced with 2/S Question: Architectural drawing 2/A120 indicating extent of existing irrigation system to be replaced. Please advise is it just one nozzle to be replaced or the whole system need to be replaced? If the whole system need to be replaced, could you please provide us more information? ANSWER: The existing irrigation system repair/replacement scope of work will be expensed against a Cash Allowance of $10, Refer to Section Allowances, Rev. 3 issued with this addendum and the revised Bid form issued by the City of Toronto. 1.6 Question: Architectural drawing A001 indicating 30% replacement of sidewalk, but the site plan legend indicating 50% replacement, please advise which is correct? ANSWER: Drawing 1/A001, note to the right of P02; delete 30% and replace with 50%. 1.7 Question: Landscape drawing TPP-1 Tree Inventory indicating T77 remove..good candidate for relocation. Please advise do we need to relocate it? ANSWER: Allow for removal, salvage and protection of tree as per Arborist Report; tree to be handed over to facilities operator grounds crew for replanting. 1.8 Question: Landscape drawing TPP-2 Tree Inventory indicating T20 and T21 remove. But this 2 trees are out of the project area, please advise is it necessary to remove them? ANSWER: Delete scope of work for trees T20 & T21 entirely; refer to the Tree Inventory on Drawing TPP-2 Tree Protection Plan. 3 of 15

ADDENDUM NO Question: There are 3 different kinds of temporary hoarding on site: tree protection barrier, plywood hoarding of scaffolding and perimeter hoarding. Could you please advise what is the material requirement of the perimeter hoarding, fast metal fence or plywood? ANSWER: The secure perimeter hoarding can be fast-fence as long as it is secured properly, is continuous, and does not expose the public to risk of injury. Maintaining and securing the perimeter hoarding is the contractors responsibility Question: As per detail 1/A241, the piece of decorative assembly attached to pier P60 requires replacement. Question: For pricing purpose, please provide the drawings and dimensions for each individual units of this decorative assembly. ANSWER: See SKA-01 for general dimensions of these elements and photos of this assembly that should provide information suitable for pricing purposes. These pieces are in place at site for the contractor to acquire detailed dimensions if they are desired Question: As per drawing A221, A230 & A231, random granite fieldstone between the piers highlighted grey in color. Question: Please confirm, these random granite fieldstone between the piers are not require to dismantle and rebuild. ANSWER: Contrary to the verbal description at the Contractors Site meeting, the scope of work for the granite fieldstone insets in the piers and buttresses indicated on drawings A221, A230 & A231 is correct. These panels will be dismantled, granite salvaged and the panels rebuilt. On drawing 3/A221 at Pier 21, the granite fieldstone panel in the pier will be dismantled, granite salvaged and the panel rebuilt Question: As per drawing A001, chain link fence indicated on south of upper and lower concrete parking garage and from pier P35 to P46. Question: Please confirm, this chain link fence is not the scope of work for this tender. ANSWER: The chain link fences indicated on drawing A001 are not part of the scope of this contract. 4 of 15

ADDENDUM NO Question: As per drawing A001 & A002, Legend for Sidewalk Protection asked allow for replacement of 50% of existing concrete pavers to match existing and drawing note of existing side walk on drawing A001 asked allow for replacement of 30% of sidewalk in bid price. Question: Please confirm the extent of replacement of side walk, 30% or 50%? Please confirm is replacement of sidewalk is the part of base bid or it is the part of cash allowance. ANSWER: Refer to the answer for question 1.6 above Question: As per section 01220, item , include the stipulated sum of $15, for removal & replacement of sidewalk. Question: Please confirm, 30% or 50% replacement of side walk as indicated on drawing is the part of cash allowance? Or this $15, is over and above that replacement work. ANSWER: The Cash Allowance is for the concrete replacement work in the contract to the percentage indicated and as clarified in the answer to question Question: As per 3/A323 & 4/A323, flashing is requires at below the capstone. Question: Please clarify, what type of flashing is required at below the capstone. ANSWER: Membrane flashing to be: Through wall membrane flashings: bituminous emulsion flashing on polyethlene carrying sheet; Blueskin AG by Bakor Industries and Blueskin Primer. Flashing cannot be exposed to view an carefully located at the tops of the granite field stone walls in relation to the ribbon- pointing Question: Is there any concrete foundation repairs required for phase 1 & phase 2? ANSWER: Other than the grinding of the concrete over-pour at P05 no other concrete repairs are included in the scope of work for Phase 1 & 2 at the Austin Terrace perimeter wall. 5 of 15

ADDENDUM NO Question: As per detail 2/A320, Reinforced concrete foundation patch repair at pier is required for typical section of Stable Pier for phase 3 from P47 to P60, while as per note on detail 2/S301 ask for allow for 8 locations total. Question: As per detail 2/A320, we have total 14 piers for phase 3 from P47 to P60, while as per note on detail 2/S301 ask for only 8 locations. Please confirm the total location for the concrete foundation patch repair at pier. ANSWER: Refer to the answer to question 1.1 above. Drawing 2/A320 refers bidders to the structural drawings for the scope of this work. The quantity, number and extent of these repairs to be included in the Bid Price is described on the structural drawings Question: As per detail 1/A320, typical concrete foundation patch repair is require for phase 3 stable wall between piers, while as per note on detail 1/S302 ask for allow for 50% of length between piers P47 & P60. Question: Please confirm the total length of foundation wall between piers required repairs. ANSWER: Drawing 1/A320 refers bidders to the structural drawings for the scope of this work. The number, quantity and extent of these repairs to be included in the Bid Price is described on the structural drawings Question: As per detail 3/S302, grind off existing overpour, make smooth existing concrete for depth of buttress foundation. See 5/S301 for location. Question: We could not found the detail of 5/S301, Please provide the detail 5/S301. ANSWER: Refer to answer to question 1.4 above Question: As per site meeting instruction all flowers, plants etc. along the fence will be removes and re-plant by others. Please confirm. ANSWER: The planting beds adjacent to the perimeter walls that are part of the contract will be emptied of all plants prior to the work commencing. The facility operator s landscape staff will be responsible for this work. Contractors must coordinate and cooperate with the facility operator s gardening staff while they are performing this work. 6 of 15

ADDENDUM NO Question: Due to different sizes & shapes of precast roman stone units, precast supplier is asking to extend the closing date, can you please extend the closing date by at least one week? ANSWER: Closing has been extended until September 7 th. Refer to City of Toronto s official notification Question: As per site meeting instruction and some drawings, random granite fieldstone will remain in place but as per General Note No. 5 on drawing A220 to A241, we have to allow for replacement of 25% of stones of average size 14 x8 x6, rounded. Question: Please advise. ANSWER: Refer to the answer to question The random granite fieldstone insets will be dismantled and rebuilt as indicated in the contract documents.
