4 INTERFAMA PRODUCTION Prato allo Stelvio (BZ) INTERFAMA was founded in 1984 on the idea of its founder, Franz Ohrwalder, who aspired to realize rational, efficient and fast formwork systems. After developing the first formwork system name GROFPA and to this day continued to build with the models G6000 and G7000, was developed in 1992 the innovative formwork system MAXIM in Aluminium, where the special form of the panel frame, and its version in aluminium alloy were well received in the field of construction. In the following years the product range has been expanded with the climbing system MRM and with the system for single-sided concreting PAT. In 1995 INTERFAMA has developed the ceiling support ALUSTERN in application as a modular system, ideal for heavy support in building and construction areas. 4

5 INTERFAMA PRODUCTION In 2004 followed - after a thorough market analysis - was developed the slab formwork system VELOX with drop-head, which is allowed a early stripping and suitable for all types of slabs. In 2008 was developed the adjustable column formwork VARIABLO, which allows an enormous time saving in the initial assembly and the assembly nd stripping on the building site. Another milestone was placed in 2010, the circular formwork ORBIS, which can be used with or without tie rod. Since then INTERFAMA has become one of the leading companies in the formwork sector, making us the ideal partner for building projects of any size. 5

6 INTERFAMA RENT LOGISTICS CENTER Verona (VR) With the opening of the new logistics center INTERFAMA Rent for the rental of formwork systems, Robert Ohrwalder has implemented his vision into action and responds to the change in the market. This infrastructure makes it possible to react faster and better to the customer needs and helps to optimize all costs associated with the rental service for customers on the Italian market. 6

7 INTERFAMA RENT LOGISTICS CENTER The realization of this new logistics center, with a total area of 5,800 m², the strategic intersection of the Motorways A4/A22, still allows for better services to be provided and to secure the market position and to further expand. The building is equipped with the new generation of 1,214 modules of a photovoltaic systems. This underlines the attention of a significant contribution to the environment, that INTERFAMA Rent is characterized as a climate-neutral company. 7

8 PRODUCTION, TECHNOLOGY The development of the company, during all these years, it was constant adaptation to production techniques to the most modern technologies, as well as to meet the needs and solve the problems met in the many construction sites provided. 8

20 MAXIM, 1 SYSTEM - 2 VERSIONS TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF THE SYSTEM MAXIM The MAXIM system is the result of a technical process that allows the realization of a line of steel elements, but also a series of elements made of a special aluminum alloy. The frame, after galvanisation, is powder-coated in order to obtain a smooth, easily cleaned surface. ELEMENTS FRAME OF STEEL 300 x 100 cm = 102,0 kg ELEMENTS FRAME OF ALU 300 x 100 cm = 65,0 kg Permissible pressure 60 kn/m² The MAXIM element, made of steel profiles, is powder coated after the pickling bath. The elements with steel frame are treated against corrosion by coating in compliance with EN39 PR class C2. The MAXIM element, made of special aluminum alloy, is powder coated after the pickling bath. In the absence of mechanical means for lifting or in particular working conditions the MAXIM ALU system can be moved by hand. 21 WALL FORMWORK MAXIM The standard components of the MAXIM system are presented with 2 types of heights (300 and 150 cm) and various widths from 20 cm up to 2 m for the steel version and one metre for the aluminium version Phenolic plywood - 15 mm Finnish birch - 11 layers g/m² phenolic coating. PP Plywood - 15 mm Finnish birch - 9 layers - polypropylene (PP) coated (depth 1.6 mm). 23 WALL FORMWORK MAXIM ELEMENT MAXIM XL MAXIM XL - 4 tie rod passages The MAXIM XL large surface element (6 m²), combined with all steel and aluminum elements. Ideal for the architectonic concrete surface the plywood measures 300x200 cm is a unique element without joints and with only 4 rod passages. L ADVANTAGE : MAXIM XL with 1 single tie rod per 1,50 m², allows an economical installation and reduce the assembling time

24 MAXIM, ELEMENT UNIVERSAL The UNIVERSAL MAXIM element is the jolly of the series. The use of this element simplifies certain operations and reduces the use of submeasures and accessories at the same time. The frame is equipped with 4 perforated (and capped) U profiles every 5 cm on 4 different heights. It allows, if necessary the formation of adjustable pillars, external angle, facilitates the closing of wall and to start against an existing wall. It also allows the inclusion of additional tie rods to increase the strength of the formwork in the case of pouring fluid concretes. 26 ASSEMBLY OF WALLS WITH H < 3 m It is recommended to perform the assembly operations by equipping a pitch served by the lifting means. Position the series of frames beside each other, in the desired dimensions, as in the image on the side. Transport and placement The MAXIM elements are moved by means of a transport kit that is easy to use, safe and economical. Panel clamp Connect the combined elements with only 2 clamps placed vertically. 26

28 MOVING THE ASSEMBLED WALL The lifting hook is used for individual movement or for groups of elements. The movement must always be performed with two lifting hooks. For more information on the lifting hook, please refer to CE DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY LIFTING HOOK LIFTING KIT The lifting angle of the ropes must be about 60, for the maximum reaction with the load completed please refer to the user manual of the lifting hooks. Please note! Before placing the assembled wall, it is necessary to apply specific forming oil for the formwork on all surfaces in contact with concrete. ± 60 28

30 IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ASSEMBLY WALL Step 1 Position the assembled wall starting from one corner and if possible complete the composition in the desired geometry from one side only. To stabilize the formwork simply position one or more adjustable props. For the permissible distance and fixing of adjustable props, refer to the MAXIM manual. Step 2 Place the reinforcement concrete iron by positioning the appropriate wall spacers, taking care not to damage the plywood. During the installation of the concrete iron, it is advisable to keep clear holes for the passage of the tie rods. Step 3 Insertion of tie rods with wing nuts from the mounted side and insert the spacer pipe. At the closure of the double wall insert the tie rods completely and secure with wing nut. Checking the setting plumb. L max It is advisable to fix every 4 meters an adjustable prop of the wall. 30

The hinged corner can be locked at 90 and used as a fixed internal corner. 34 LIFT SHAFT WITH SHEETING CORNER The internal part of the square or rectangular cages, shall not be dismantled. Indeed, in one turn of the key, the angle is reduced by 2 cm per side and allows the lifting of the composition. Once cleaned, it will be ready for a new concreting cycle. Sheeting corner With the INTERFAMA sheeting corner, it is possible to overlay several combinations in height. 35 FORMWORK FOR PLINTHS AND SHAFTS WALL FORMWORK MAXIM The elements of the MAXIM system make it possible to compose formworks of the most common dimensions in a fast and therefore economical way. Four conical angles, combined with 4 custom wood panels, allow the creation of compositions for plints up to 150 cm high. The angles, of conical form, can easily be dismantling with the way by using one common lifting and lifted even by hand. The plinth clamp allows the connection of the MAXIM elements and makes it possible to make square or rectangular formulations up to 100 cm in height. 35

36 FORMWORK FOR RETAINING WALLS The elements of the MAXIM system make it possible to create compositions for retained walls and inclined walls up to 30 cm for each meter of height equal to 16.7, without the need for wooden compensations between the elements or other particular accessories. Plaque de distribution The use of the distribution plate under the DW15 plywood allows a uniform distribution of the load. The particular profile of the edge of the elements makes it possible to tilt the tie rod up to 30%, or 16,7. Floating force Note! The inclined side of the formwork must be fixed to the foundation to avoid the floating effect. 36

38 CIRCULAR WALL FORMWORK (POLYGONAL) The elements with its particular edge profile, as well as simple equipment accessories allow the realization of circular and curvilinear walls (polygonal). 39 CIRCULARE WALL FORMWORK MAXIM The generated breaking is determined by the width of the element used ( cm), which allows the MAXIM system to be used also very small radius (2 m). 39

40 SPECIAL APPLICATIONS The MAXIM formwork system which can be joined with all climbing systems, always enables the ideal solution for special projects. With this building project the damaged columns of the viaducts were boarded with the MAXIM formwork system together with the mast climbing workingplatform, in a simple way. 40

The concrete contact surface is made of Finnish birch plywood 18 mm thick 2, with phenolic coating 220 g/m², alternatively, with a polypropylene surface of 1.6 mm. 116 FLEXIBILITY OF THE SYSTEM Formwork solutions, in the presence of obstacles Assuming that it is not possible to avoid all obstacles and one or more of these, obstruct the line of the main beam, there are several solutions: With the formation of rectangular or square modules of different sizes, VELOX is an extremely flexible system, able to guarantee maximum coverage, even in the presence of geometrically complex slabs. In case the number of obstacles in the way is high, you can try to change the orientation of the lattices, from horizontal to vertical or reversed (as suggested above). At this point, where it is not possible to place the safety grid, simply insert one or more wooden beams to compensate for any holes. 116

117 SLAB FORMWORK VELOX LOWERED BEAMS To create the formwork of a lowered beam we have three solutions: For lowering up to max. 12 cm the solution is to interrupt the formation of lattices in correspondence of the beam, create a pocket of one lattice to another using the sliding support. PFor lowering more than 12 cm you can use the specific accessory for the lowered beam that allows for the creation of beams of up to 50 cm. The formation of the lattices is interrupted in the vicinity of the beam, the support is created with a row of lowered lattices, and the formwork is started again. The same operation can be performed in the traditional way. 117

119 SLAB FORMWORK VELOX CHOOSE THE FINISH The VELOX system allows the use of different types of surface panels. The choice varies according to the degree of finishing desired. There is no constraint on the dimensions of the panel or in the direction of installation. For practical reasons, it is advisable to use conventional panels of 200x50 or 250x50 cm, and of 27 mm of thickness. Formwork with 3-layer panel: clearly the best compromise. Its main advantage is that it allows a large number of uses, on average 20-30, after which it can still be used for other work (foundations, underpinning etc.) and does not require large investments. The wood effect imprint on the concrete is also pleasant visually. If high quality (3 layers treated) it is lightweight and robust on loads. Multi-layer panel with PP (polypropylene) surfaces: (polypropylène) des deux côtés. Particulièrement indiqué pour surface en polypropylène qui doit faire de nombreuses utilisations. Available in various sizes, data sheets upon request. OSB wood panel: this type of panel ensures a maximum of 3-4 castings at a very low cost and a very special finish. The props with a quickrelease head remain from the concrete until complete curing.
