Bid Process Cost Estimate Specifications Front End Documents Schedule Bid Advertising Awarding Contract Construction Administration

Project Regulatory Approvals Field renovation projects typically always require grading and drainage approval from the local jurisdiction Grading with over 500 cubic yards typically triggers an environmental checklist and a grading permit

Project Regulatory Approvals Drainage approvals may include: Turbidity monitoring plan during construction Drainage discharge rate control Storm water detention storage Water quality treatment Approval typically requires plans and calculations prepared by a licensed design professional

Typical Synthetic Turf Selection Process Form a committee with coaches, trainers, maintenance staff, administration, and user groups Visit other synthetic turf fields, don t just look at samples! Research who you will be manufacturing, installing, and warranting your field

Typical Synthetic Turf Selection Criteria Safety Footing Impact Absorption Abrasiveness Infill Displacement Playability Surface Stability Traction Ball Roll Ball Bounce Vendor/Installer Manufacturing Experience Installation Experience Local Representation Warranty Service Financial Stability Other Price Durability Maintenance

Synthetic Turf Procurement Work with an independent consultant to prepare specifications for the turf system and the base design Prepare bid and construction documents to reflect your turf selection criteria Review budget relative to competitive bid or proprietary product specifications

Contract Administration Contract development and execution Bonds and insurance submission Issue revised CD s (if required) CPM Schedule updated Host pre-construction conference with all contractors and subcontractors. Monitor layout for proper compliance with drawings and specifications. Monitor each scope of construction for compliance to CD s.

Contract Administration (continued) Submittal processing Shop drawings submitted by Contractor. Material/product information Review and submit approval of Contractor Payment Requests Sworn Statement Partial, full, unconditional and conditional waivers. 10. Develop final punch list. 11. Attend final walk through and acceptance with Owner and Contractor or Construction Manager. 12. Secure all guarantees.
