Design Overview

Design Principles

Mobilisation & Piling Sister company FK Lowry Piling: Pre Boring Exercise to determine obstructions 52T Soilmec SF-65 Soilmec capable of installing piles to Max. depth of 29m with a 6m extension bar 258Nr CFA Piles installed to max. depth of 26m Pile diameters 450mm Static Load & Integrity Testing

Pre-Boring & Obstruction Identification

Example: Pile Cap Redesign Piling & Pile Cap Variations Extensive obstructions seen various revisions of the pile design including; Pile caps rotated Piles relocated Pile dimensions Resized pile caps Removal of ground beams New piles added Revised pile cap design

GROUND WORKS Jan 2016

Construction Methodology Breaking down piles at central cores Formation of pile caps within cores Critical sequencing to allow construction progression of structural cores Concrete core construction

Gas Membrane

Tower Crane Install Tower Crane - piled foundation Pile where designed by Raison Foster and installed by LCG s sister company FK Lowry piling Pile loads were designed to 60T [600kN] axial compression and 3T [30kN] horizontal. 9Nr piles installed from a working platform at 3.0m & typical pile cap depth of 1.5m. 0m to -8m Very Soft Clay -9m to -17m Med Dense Sand & Gravel -18m Very Stiff Clay Pile reinforcement comprised of 8m x 6H16 cage with a 10m long central H25 bar Minimum cover was 65mm Piles CFA bored, 450mm diameter Toe of piles was 18m & depth was 21m

TOWER CRANE - Feb 2016 Liebherr Tower Crane Supplied by Lewis Tower Cranes 48M to below hook height 50m Jib Length & 19T Ballast Lift Capacity 10T at Min. Radius Lift Capacity 3.75T at Max. Radius
