1 1 October 2014 Addendum No. 1 Swansboro Public Safety Facility The following addendum supersedes previous addendums and does hereby become a part of the contract documents. See attached Proposal for use in bidding this project Clarification, Specifications, 10520, Fire Extinguishers and cabinets: There will be three required Fire Extinguishers and Cabinets and located in reception 103, Hall 106 and Hall 114. Exact locations will be as directed by Fire Inspector and Architect. Specifications, 03300, Paragraph 3.14 A : All concrete Test shall be by the General Contractor as per C. Clarification: All exterior and Load Bearing studs are to be 2 x 6 SPF # 16 oc. All interior nonbearing partitions are to be 2x4 16 oc. Roof Sheathing to be ¾ Plywood in lieu of OSB. Door Schedule, Door 19: door material is SHM (Secure Hollow Metal) in lieu of wood/glass Clarification, 3/A-5. The Existing roof will remain unpainted, but all of the existing roof trim/eave trim, gutters and downspouts are to be painted red. Clarification, 2/A-5 : The medallion shown shall be provided and installed by the GC. This medallion shall be part of the $2, materials only allowance as specified in paragraph 1.2 A 2 (Signage). Clarification, Door Types, Door G Bay Doors: In the Base bid the existing Bay doors are to remain and repainted RED. The GC to provide an alternate no. 1 price for 4 new Bay doors Overhead Door Corp Series 521 Aluminum Power Coat Red finish with all Glass panels (1/2 insulated). Provide Electric operators and controls. Controls to be mounted near door 36. Provide electric eye safety closers. Door to meet 135 mph wind loads. 2 Clarification, Typical Overhang/Gutter area: See attached BD1 for clarifications on overhang blocking. See attached E-1, E-2, E-3, E-4, and E-5 for Addendum 1 revisions. Substitution Requests: 08111, Equal products by Pioneer will be acceptable equal Products by Chappell will be acceptable equal products by Hager will be acceptable , Equal products by Simon Door Chem Pruf will be acceptable. Wall zone pressures : Zone psf (inward pressure) and psf (outward pressure), Zone psf (inward pressure) and psf outward pressure) Door Digital pad and FOB controls: See Door Schedule for Locations of Door Digital Access Pads and FOB. Provide conduit etc. as per 2/E-4 at each location. Also please add an additional FOB on door 24 (one for each side of door). Electrical, Add Alt No. 1 New Bay Doors: The Electrical Contractor to provide new 20 amp,120v circuit for each new Bay Door (Alt No. 1) 4 total, from the existing electrical panel. Provide new Breakers and Wiring as required. Drawings, Sheet SD-2: The cleanouts for the new HDPE pipe can be reduced down to 4 inch with precast doughnuts. Provide reducers etc as required. All HDPE pipe sizes to remain as per plans. New Rip Rap to be minimum 6 inch rip rap 2 feet thick and approximately 40 sf in area. Drawings Sheet A-6: Window B, Aluminum coiling Shutter to be Overhead Door Corporation 652 series, clear anodized finish, manual push up operation, lockable or approved equal products. Specifications, Section 01020, paragraph 1.2 A 6. Revise item 6 to read Digital Pad and FOB allowance ($3, materials only) in lieu of Lights over Bay Doors and Front Porch which are already covered on sheet E-3 Lighting Schedule. Drawings, Sheet M-1 HVAC Equipment Schedule: Equal Equipment by Trane will be acceptable. The existing antennae on the side of the existing building in the area of the new addition will be relocated by owner. Specifications, 07610, paragraph 2.1 A: Equal Products similar to the Bengel Lock 1500 profile by Firestone UNA Clad or McElroy, 1.5 Standing Seam, 20 spacing.
