Mobile: zachp@matternconstruction.com Clarification Requested:. We are concerned about the schedule and displeasing the customer. With the lead time of -8 weeks for these windows/doors, would the schedule be flexible? It is against our standard practice to carry liquidated damages under the expectation that we will go beyond the noted schedule of October, 08. The schedule deadline is required by the funding source for the project. The team (Owner and Architect) will work with the Contractor to expedite submittals and RFI turnaround as needed.. Will the headers need temporary shoring when the x columns are being replaced? a. What is the finish? Galvanized? Shop primed? What kind of flange is needed to mate it with the header? Temporary shoring (Section 09-,..B.) will be required by the Contractor as masonry door openings are widened and door heads are rebuilt.. If we have a rent a cop can the work hours be extended to school hours? Work during school hours is at the discretion of the local officials, building and fire. A dedicated fire watch at the construction zone entry should be requested. If work during school hours is permitted, it cannot produce excessive noise, dust or vibration.. Will this work have to be phased? How many entrances can be closed at once? Entrances cannot be closed during school operations. Work at multiple entrances is at the discretion of the local officials. A fire watch per entrance should be requested.. Interest in the project by other parties seems to be minimal. On the off chance that we are the sole bidder, can this project be awarded? The project can be awarded to a sole bidder, if the bid is properly qualified and it meets the town s requirements.
