2 2 BIMAGRIP DELIVERS UNRIVALLED FRICTION AND GRIP ACROSS A WIDE RANGE OF SUBSTRATES When surface skidding, slipping or loss of traction are a threat to safety and performance, Bimagrip provides a durable and highly effective solution. Specially developed for its anti-skid properties, this hugely versatile application delivers unrivalled friction and grip across a wide range of substrates. Whether it s on steel, concrete, asphalt or timber, Bimagrip is easy to lay, fast-setting and incredibly long lasting. Time and again experience has shown that even after decades of use, Bimagrip still performs at its best, without any maintenance required. Whereas lower cost alternatives require frequent re-applications, Bimagrip keeps going - making it a proven cost-effective solution. We consider Bimagrip number one for slip resistance. WHY CHOOSE BIMAGRIP? Delivers unrivalled friction and grip across a wide range of substrates Has the longest track record of any other surfacing solution Lower cost alternatives require frequent reapplications, Bimagrip keeps performing - making it a proven cost-effective solution. Very fast cure system, treated areas may be reopened to traffic just 2 hours following application Fully impervious to water, oil, fuel and de-icing salts. No loss of traction so gear box and tyre service life is extended. Ship Captain, owner/operator, PCTC, Japan

3 BIMAGRIP THE LAST WORD IN SKID RESISTANCE A SAFE SURFACE SOLUTION 3 FORMULATED FOR PERFORMANCE FORMULATED FOR PERFORMANCE The Bimagrip surface is a selection of high-grade abrasion resistant aggregates held together with a blend of specially formulated polyurethane resins, designed to give strength, flexibility, and long life durability. The Bimagrip resin system is fully impervious and encapsulates the surface to give it added corrosion protection, thereby extending the service life of the surface itself. THE BIMAGRIP RANGE Bimagrip HD Bimagrip LS Acraprime SP - Very heavy traffic conditions where mainly rolling traffic is expected and little impact is anticipated. - Very heavy traffic conditions are expected and impact is likely. - Primer system is used beneath Bimagrip coatings and is particularly resistant to cathodic disbanding. Aggregates Available in a variety of sizes, it s chemically inert and has excellent impact crushing, abrasion and skid resistance.

4 APPLICATION AREAS BIMAGRIP IS A VERSATILE TREATMENT USED WHEN SKIDDING OR SLIPPING IS A THREAT TO SAFETY AND PERFORMANCE. I T CAN BE USED IN A NUMBER OF APPLICATION AREAS INCLUDING: 4 HIGHWAYS & BRIDGES Bimagrip has become a go-to solution for bridge engineers, architects and highways authorities looking for the highest levels of safety and the lowest maintenance requirements for their structures. Choose Bimagrip to increase the safety on footbridges, steel decked road bridges, temporary and permanent panel bridges and linkspans. RAIL An increasing focus on safety in the rail industry has meant that more and more unmanned level crossings are being replaced by footbridges. RS Clare s Bimagrip anti-skid surfacing is an ideal solution that further increases the safety of pedestrians and cyclists using these bridges. Other applications in the Rail industry include station platforms, carriage washing aprons and maintenance depots. INDUSTRIAL PLANTS Bimagrip antiskid systems are suitable for all areas where safety is key and where there is a desire to reduce operational maintenance costs. To reduce the risk of accidents in areas such as pedestrian walkways, foot bridges, fork lift truck ramps and road crossings, consider applying Bimagrip. Since this surface can be trafficked just two hours after application, down time is minimal and there will be very little impact on operations. Once applied, the surface is fully encapsulated and will never degrade when contaminated by chemicals such as petrol, diesel, engine oil and salt. Moreover, the surface is measurably safer, with skid resistance values of over 90 even 15 years after initial application. Sites are available for viewing globally where Bimagrip is still performing exceptionally after nearly two decades.

5 FAST SETTING AND INCREDIBLY LONG LASTING PCTC S AND RORO SHIPS Safety and efficiency are of paramount importance during marine cargo handling operations. Bimagrip is the world s leading safe surfacing solution for the ramps of PCTCs (PureCar/Truck Carriers) and RoRo (Roll-On/ Roll-Off) vessels. Bimagrip offers ship owners and fleet operators the best performing skid resistant surfacing for their ramps and contributes to the safe and efficient loading and discharging of vehicles in all conditions. Having the longest track record over any other surfacing solution, Bimagrip is now specified for most new build PCTC vessels globally. PORTS RS Clare has a market leading position for the supply of anti-skid surfacing onto linkspan bridges and pontoons in ports. We are the suppliers of choice to both MacGregor and TTS, the world s largest builders of these structures. Bimagrip has been used to refurbish existing linkspan bridges for over 20 years, giving port managers the confidence that cargo can be loaded in the safest, most efficient manner possible. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What types of traffic can Bimagrip withstand? All rubber-treaded pneumatic and non-pneumatic motorcycles, cars, trucks, buses, multi-wheeled and very heavy vehicles and trailers are suitable, not to mention high foot traffic. Where steel-tracked vehicles are used, damage to the aggregate will occur and suitable materials such as rubber mats, mooring ropes or wooden planks must be used for protection of the Bimagrip surface. How soon can the surface be open to traffic after application? BIMAGRIP is a very fast cure system, treated areas may be reopened to traffic just 2 hours following application, in ambient temperatures of 20 C. This enables work to be carried out at night, thus minimising inconvenience and cost. Do I need to apply a top coat? Top coats are optional and are used for ease of cleaning and where it is necessary to keep the aggregate completely bound. These are usually clear or coloured epoxy or polyurethane paints. What is the bond strength of Bimagrip? The bond strength of Bimagrip to primed steel is tested in accordance with British Standard BS part E10. What is the system thickness? A set system thickness can be between 3mm and 7mm depending on aggregate selection. Is Bimagrip chemically resistant? The Bimagrip system is fully impervious to water, oil, fuel and de-icing salts. This means the substrate is fully encapsulated and protected from corrosion, therefore it extends the service life of the substrate itself. What is the Bimagrip System comprised of? Bimagrip is formulated for performance. It is comprised of a polyurethane primer, a flexible fast-cure polyurethane adhesive compound and a specially selected durable aggregate. Is Bimagrip certified fire resistant? Bimagrip is tested and approved in accordance with IMO Resolution MSC 61(67): Annex 1, Part 5 - Surface Flammability & Part 2 Smoke and Toxicity.
